Evolution and application of the isoperimetric method to the solution of plate stability problems

Abstract

The study deals with elastic isotropic plates with a convex profile under uniform boundary conditions. The isoperimetric method in the plate stability problems has been substantiated, an applied theory of constructing qualitative estimates and approximate relationships to determine a critical stress of plates has been developed. The results received as formulae, tables and plots extend the range of plate stability problems solved and can be directly used when designing structural elements as plates. The field of application covers civil building and machine-buildingAvailable from VNTIC / VNTIC - Scientific & Technical Information Centre of RussiaSIGLERURussian Federatio
