ECOLOGICAL-LANDSCAPE SUBSTANTIATION OF MEASURES ON SAFETY OF SURFACE WATERS FROM TECHNOGENIC ACTION (AS AN EXAMPLE OF URALS)

Abstract

The work covers the valley-river complexes being natural and disturbed at exploitation of placers in different natural zones and provinces of the Ural. The aim is to study the spatial organization of the geocomplexes in the river valleys for substantiation of the measure system on the optimization of the surface water state on the territories disturbed by an exploitation of the placers. The type designs of the natural and technogenic geocomplexes in the Ural's river valleys have been performed. The character of changing abiotic and biotic processes in the river valleys after mining works laid to the new spatial organization of the geocomplexes has been determined. The new methodical procedure for analysis of the landscape-morphological series which enabled to perform the forecast of the geocomplex state in the water-protected zones has been proposed. The methods for evaluation of the mining works in the river valleys can be used for prevention of the damage caused by the building and ameliorative works. The performed forecast of the geocomplex state in the water-protected zones for a period up to 25-30 years enables to unify the recultivation works for improving state of the water resources. The work results have been used by a regional board on ecology at making of the new sections for exploitation of the placers, in the educational process of the higher schools in the lecturing of ecological content.
