Abstract

At this methodology workshop, eleven project groups and expert teams from Germany and abroad reported and discussed their experience with the linking of divergent models. The titles of the eleven contributions: The model experiment III, (MEX III), of the Forum f. Energiemodelle und Energiewirtschaftliche Systemanalysen in Germany. 2. The linking of energy system and energy economy models. 3. Linking IKARUS-MARKAL and MIS, an energy system model to a macroeconomic model. 4. Integration of environmental indicators in the RWI model. 5. DIOGENES, model structure and linking approaches. 5. The synthesis of bottom-up and top-down in energy policy modeling. 7. Linking models within the framework of the MESAP instruments. 8. Environmental taxation within a bottom-up framework of energy-economy interactions: the model ENVEES. 9. Linking ETA models to the MACRO model of MERGE-ETL. 10. Three modeling tools for analysing the competition structures of the electricity markets in Danmark and northern Germany, - EFOM, Balmorel, EMELIE. 11. Comparison of models in regard to guidance for climate change policies.
