Abstract
A comprehensive landslide risk assessment study was carried out in the Guantánamo province at a scale of 1:100,000. The study started by analyzing the landslide inventory in the territory and the causal factor related to landslide hazard. Also information for elements at risk was collected for five types (population, facilities, transportation, protected areas, and land use). This stage is relevant for any landslide risk assessment study as many important issues appear which guide the rest of the analysis. After this, both qualitative and semi-quantitative methods were applied to the hazard, vulnerability and risk assessments
