Abstract

Greece, Spain and Portugal (GSP), with their transition to democratic politics during the 70s, placed themselves in what Samuel P. Huntington called the “third wave of democratization”.In order to explain the historical simultaneity of the democratic transitions in Spain, Portugal, and Greece, this essay approaches the issue in a comparative manner
