Abstract
Some peculiar changes of ground-tilts and ground-strains were observed before and afterthe occurrence of recent remarkable earthquakes -- Odaigahara (Dec. 26, 1960), Hyilga-nada (Feb. 27, 1961), W part of Hyogo Pref. (earthquake-swarm during about three monthssince Apr. 12, 1961, and the main shock occurred on May 7) and Kitamino (Aug. 19, 1961).In this paper the results of observation were reported, and characters of these anomalousground-tilts were discussed with relation to the earthquakes. On the other hand, some in-ferences were made of the characteristic 4eformation of the earth's crust related to theoccurrence of a series of earthquakes originated in some areas. Some peculiar changes of ground-tilts and ground-strains were observed before and afterthe occurrence of recent remarkable earthquakes -- Odaigahara (Dec. 26, 1960), Hyilga-nada (Feb. 27, 1961), W part of Hyogo Pref.
