Efektivitas Pendekatan Saintifik dalam Meningkatkan Keterampilan Proses Sains pada Materi Pemisahan Campuran

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of scientific approach to enhance students science process skills and students scientific attitudes on mixtures separation topic. The method used was quasi experiment by using the matching only pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this reasearch was all of seventh grader students of SMPN 22 Bandarlampung 2016-2017 with class VIIB and VIID as sample. Samples was done by purposive sampling technique. The effectiveness of scientific approach was determined by the enhancement of n-gain value of students science process skills which were tested statistically by using t-test and the enhancement of scientific attitudes. The results showed that implementation of scientific approach was effective to enhance students science process skills and scientific attitudes in the learning of mixtures separation topic.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pendekatan saintifik dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan sikap ilmiah siswa pada materi pemisahan campuran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain the matching only pretest-postest control group design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP N 22 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2016-2017 dengan kelas VIIB dan VIID sebagai sampel. Pengambilan sampel diperoleh dengan teknik purposive sampling. Efektivitas pendekatan saintifik ditentukan dari peningkatan n-gain keterampilan proses sains siswa yang diuji secara statistik dengan uji t dan peningkatan sikap ilmiah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan sikap ilmiah siswa pada materi pemisahan campuran.Kata Kunci: keterampilan proses sains, pemisahan campuran, pendekatan saintifik, sikap ilmiah
