Engaging tutors to enhance the learning experience through ePortfolios

Abstract

This ‘work-in-progress’ presentation provides an overview of on-going research into staff development and ePortfolios. It seeks to explore models for introducing tutors to ePortfolios and the role of ePortfolios in enhancing the learning environment. It presents key themes, which have been identified through a literature review and from approximately 30 semi-structured interviews conducted with staff developers and tutors implementing an ePortfolio in the United Kingdom, the United Stated and New Zealand during 2005 and 2006, which need to be addressed in any staff development programm
