Abstract

Abstract: The objective here is the development of mathematical model of the non-linear power system which can be utilized for implementing the different class of controller. The controller designed here is to fulfill the stability requirement of the system as well as to make the system transiently stable. The linearization of the power system is done using direct feedback linearization technique andthe model thus obtained has parameters which can be used as controller input. The linear LQ optimal control theory is applied to the model to design an optimal feedback control law
