Energy savings for G+3 Educational Building

Abstract

Abstract—Energy use in offices, colleges & schools has been raised in recent years because of the growth in information technology, air-conditioning etc.Two thirds of energy consumption in offices is due to electricity supply for lighting, cooling and other HVAC equipment. It is observed that in a class room, the energy demand is as follows; Ventilation 30%, cooling 30%, lighting 20 % and the remaining on other accessories. In India most of the electricity generation is by coal based thermal power plants. The environment pollution issue is directly linked with use of electricity & therefore it is necessary to reduce energy consumption by treating the room with energy building concept.In this we are calculating the energy savings by using cool roof for G+3 college structure building by using design builder software.
