Quantitative Performance Analysis of Biometrics Identification for Authentication Systems Design

Abstract

Abstract:- On constructing a biometrics identification system, a study must be performed as to whether estimated system performance satisfies target performance in matching accuracy and response speed. A model is therefore needed to describe the performance of such an authentication system. This paper describes a model for quantitative performance analysis of a biometrics identification system considering its characteristics. It is clarified the performance difference for different identification algorithms by applying this model to our identification algorithm and a general linear search algorithm.
