Computational schemes for integro-differential systems

Abstract

Abstract: This paper is concerned with efficient computational schemes for solving nonlinear integro-differential equations. In particular our work is motivated by a differential-integralalgebraic system modelling physical processes in catalytic combustion and a Bénard convection problem. Our approaches include simple computational scheme based on a finite difference and product integration method, the celebrated orthogonal collocation method as well as a recently investigated efficient discrete Petrov-Galerkin method
