Crescimento do Cafeeiro Conilon Irrigado com Ãgua Salina

Abstract

Objetivando avaliar crescimento inicial do cafeeiro conilon variedade Robusta Capixaba decorrente da irrigação com água salina foi conduzido um experimento em casa de vegetação, no delineamento inteiramente casualizado no esquema fatorial 5X5 com cinco tratamentos (um irrigado com água doce e quatro com água salina nas concentrações de 1,0; 2,0; 3,0 e 4,0 dS m-1), cinco períodos de avaliação (0, 60, 120, 180 e 240 dias após o plantio) com quatro repetições. Os efeitos da irrigação com água salina sobre o crescimento inicial do cafeeiro foi feita por meio de uma análise de crescimento. Com os resultados obtidos a irrigação com água salina, em comparação com a água doce, dentro dos períodos de avaliação, reduziu a matéria seca da parte aérea, das raízes e total, além da taxa de crescimento relativo e a relação parte aérea/raiz seguido do aumento da razão de área foliar e área foliar total. Por outro lado o aumento da salinidade do solo, decorrente da irrigação com água salina, reduziu a matéria seca da parte aérea, das raízes e total, a área foliar total a partir dos 180 dias após o plantio, seguido da redução da razão de área foliar e da relação parte aérea/raiz a partir dos 60 dias após o plantio. Palavras-chaves: estresse salino; irrigação; Coffea canephora ABSTRACT In order to evaluate the initial growth of the Robusta variety Conilon Capixaba under irrigation with saline water was an experiment in a greenhouse in a completely randomized in a factorial 5x5 with five treatments (one irrigated with fresh water and saline water with four concentrations of 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 dS m-1), five evaluation periods (0, 60, 120, 180 and 240 days after planting) with four replications. The effects of irrigation with saline water on the initial growth of the coffee was made through an analysis of growth. With these results the irrigation with saline water compared with fresh water, within a period of evaluation, reduced the dry matter of shoots, roots and all, beyond the relative growth rate and the ratio shoot / root followed increasing the ratio of leaf area and leaf area. On the other hand the increase in soil salinity resulting from irrigation with saline water reduced the dry matter of shoots, roots and all, the total leaf area from 180 days after planting, followed by reduction in leaf area ratio and the ratio shoot / root after 60 days after planting.
