Third place went to Catholic Central (Lethbridge) Cougars with Winston Churchill (Lethbridge) Bulldogs taking home the Consolation trophy. Saturday night's Championship game saw Mark Tollestrup contribute 23 points, Danny Balderson 15 and Bart Harris 10 for the Zeniths. Darnell Platt 26 points, Randy Oliver 12 and Jared Bly 11 for the Rebels. Named Most Outstanding Player was the Rebel's Darnell Platt. Trophies: Championship to W R Meyers Rebels donated by the Town of Magrath and presented by Deputy Mayor Robert Tanner. Second to the Magrath Zeniths donated by Tanco and presented by L. B. Tanner. Third to Catholic Central Cougars donated by the Magrath Clinic and presented by Dr. Claire Norton. Consolation to Winston Churchill Bulldogs donated by the Magrath Co-Op and presented by Randy Ripley. Receiving the Sportsmanship Trophy was Catholic Central Cougars donated by the Magrath Trading Co. and presented by Wes Balderson. Winners of the Cheerleading Competition held in conjunction with the Tournament were our own Magrath Cheerleaders who were presented a trophy, donated by the Magrath School, by Mrs. Beres. Individual trophies also donated by the School were presented by Trevor Lowry Student Body President. Winner of the Zenith (500) Pot of Gold Raffle sponsored by the Magrath Alumni Association Society was JR Gruninger of Del Bonita. Both families and friends attended making the day very special. A reception was held in their honor at the Seniors Centre from 6-8 pm with close family friends looking after the kitchen and serving refreshments. Funeral services were held in Magrath on Thursday, November 28, 1991 with Bishop Conway Brewerton officiating.
