Abstract

Immersive teleconferencing has been an attractive research topic for many years, aiming to produce ‘‘a videoconferencing experience that creates the illusion that the remote participants are in the same room’ ’ as the user. 1 An ideal immersive teleconferencing system should be able to replicate the light and sound field that a user might experience in a face-to-face meeting, all in real-time, which is a nontrivial task.
