On point estimation of probability density function parameter

Abstract

In pure mathematics, we begin with a certain postulate or theorem and then deduce other theorems by a process which does not admit exceptions or variations. This process is call certain inference. In statistics, there is a similar process, namely, statistical inference, in which the data of a sample can be made to yield information concerning the parameters of the population from which the sample is drawn
