Early years single funding formula: memorandum submitted to the House of Commons Select Committee on Children, Schools and Families

Abstract

This memorandum provides key points to emerge from a small-scale study of the funding of pre-school educational provision (West et al., 2010). We outline the differences in expenditure per pupil across different types of setting and between providers, and then examine, using case study data, the sources of funding for pre-school providers of different types
