Abstract

Consecutive reforms of Comminity Treaties have attempted to counteract the threat that the existence of strong territorial disequilibria represent for the construction of a united Europe. However, the search for territorial equality is weakened by the distorting effects of certain sectoral policies, and, above all, by the Common Agricultural Policy, which tends to benefit core areas to the detriment of lagging ones
