Abstract

Abstract: Souls Night Out, a collection of poems by Nedra Rogers, employs confessional, lyrical, narrative, and meditative modes to investigate the poet's relationship to her world. In the introduction, the process of categorizing the poems is explained, and the three divisions of the manuscript (poems of surprise and revelation, poems of place, and poems of love and loss) are explored.
