Automated conceptual design of controllers for mechatronic systems

Abstract

Especially in the conceptual design stage of electro-mechanical systems, a mechatronic design approach can be applied successfully. Automated design support is developed on basis of an existing design tool for a large class of mechatronic systems. This tool determines the functional interaction between different domain specific subsystems. The interaction will be implemented by means of constraints. Dependencies between the modules can be visualized in several ways, using constraint satisfaction techniques. 1
