The research question addressed in this paper is: How does systems theory apply to problem solving in a community-based voluntary organization? The unit of analysis is a regional art museum (RAM). The methodology employed is Soft Systems Methodology (SSM). Following a brief review of its basic principles, SSM is applied to the RAM. It is important to note that this study is still in process.
