... means that CM exploits PM to control and perform changes to evolving products. Inversely, the PM information itself is a structured and evolving object, i.e. a "product". EPOS is a kernel Software Engineering Environment (SEE). It covers both CM and PM, and has taken CM + PM as a major goal from the beginning. EPOS CM encompasses a version part using Change-Oriented Versioning (COV), and a product part based on the EPOS-OOER data model with structural object-orientation. Both parts are supported by EPOSDB which has aversion transparent interface, and o ers long, cooperating and possible nested database (DB) transactions, through a client-server architecture.
