Packet Loss Analysis of Output Buffered Shufflenet

Abstract

Abstract- The Shufflenet is a multihop packet-switched network topology, which has been widely used as both a logical and physical topology to fulfil different requirements. There are different contention resolution schemes proposed in the literature for optical networks; deflection routing, store-and-forward routing and wavelength routing. Storeand-forward routing can be applied by using different techniques to improve the performance of the network. In this paper, output buffering is applied to the Shufflenet and packet loss analysis due to buffer under run is presented. Simulation results show that buffer under runs gradually decrements as the buffer size is increased
