Chart data and IHO standards for paper charts

Abstract

U radu se posebno analizira primjena standarda S-4 i publikacije INT-1.Navigational charts are one of the most important navigational aids. Construction of navigational paper charts is based on the recommendations containing technical and administrative guidance issued by the International Hydrographic Organization. Hydrographic offices worldwide tend to standardize their navigational charts and navigational publications in accordance with International Hydrographic Organization recommendations and ensure the accuracy and reliability of the information displayed. The International Hydrographic organization takes care of the standardization of general elements such as size and shape of letters, language, color standardization, up to detailed views of hydrographic and topographic symbols and international abbreviations. The paper analyzes in particular the application of S- 4 standard and INT-1 publication
