Bridging the Gap from Cyber Security to Resilience

Abstract

This chapter describes an evolution of practices in community and business assurance from protective programs based upon risk management to the emerging strategy of resilience. The chapter compares and contrasts these two basic approaches, identifying notable gaps where cyber security lags in the larger transformation. Recommendations address concepts, techniques, and strategies for integration of the cyber world with the physical and human worlds, and opportunities for future research.NON-ACADEMI
