Chapter II. Physiography. An account is given of the climatological and ecological factors that are of direct importance to sedimentary processes and the composition of biotopes in this delta, such as temperature, winds, marine currents and waves, etc. The prevailing wind at all seasons comes from the northwest; secondary in importance is the sea wind from the southeast, which is frequent in autumn and winter. ....
