ΝΕΑ ΜΕΘΟΔΟΣ ΑΠΟΜΟΝΩΣΕΩΣ ΚΑΙ ΠΡΟΣΔΙΟΡΙΣΜΟΥ ΤΟΥ ΖΙΖΑΝΙΟΚΤΟΝΟΥ PARAQUAT ΣΕ ΒΙΟΛΟΓΙΚΑ ΥΛΙΚΑ

Abstract

PARAQUAT IS NOW A WIDELY USED IN AGRICULTURE HERBICIDE AND THE CASES OF POISONING WITH THIS COMPOUND ARE NOT RARE. THE DIAGNOSIS OF THE INTOXICATION BY LABORATORY METHODS IS DIFFICULT; SAME THING WITH THE DETERMINATION OF THE PARAQUATIN BIOLOGICAL MATERIAL IN MEDICO - LEGAL CASES. THE EXISTING TECHNIQUES ARE COMPLICATE, THEY NEED SPECIAL APPPARATUS AND THE ANALYTICAL PROCEDURES TAKE LONG. THUS, WE TRIED TO ESTABLISH A NEW METHOD, WHICH COULD BE POSSIBLE TO FACILITATE THE PHYSICIAN IN CLINICAL DIAGNOSIS AS WELL AS THE FORENSIC PATHOLOGIST IN CASES OF FATAL INTOXICATIONS. WE TRIED EXPERIMENTALLY MANY TECHNIQUES AND FINALLY WE FOUND THAT THE METHOD OF DIALYSIS OF THE PARAQUAT THROUGH A CELLULOSEMEMBRANE AND THE SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF THE DIALYSATE GIVE WITHOUT ANY DOUBT THE BEST RESULTS. THE RATE OF DIALYSIS, THE INTERFERENCE OF SOME OTHER ORGANIC COMPOUNDS IN THE ANALYSIS AND THE RECOVERY OF THE METHOD WERE ALSOSTUDIED IN DETAIL. THE METHOD CAN BE USED FOR THE QUANTITATIVE DETERMINATIONOF THE PARAQUAT IN BIOLOGICAL MATERIAL IN MEDICO - LEGAL CASES; IT IS RAPID AND SAFE WITH A HIGH SENSITIVITY.
