Helical gear vibration excitation with misalignment

Abstract

Occasionally it is necessary to predict the eflects of misalignment of gear helices on the regular once-per-tooth forces which are generated by the meshing. This can be done simply on a personal computer and gives results that show surprisingly high dynamic forces at high speeds. The computation is straightforward and the program is given.
