Abstract

HFEM PERF – non-linear finite element solver for hyperelastic porous media with mi-croflow HFEM PERF is the non-linear finite element solver developed for the purpose of numerical modelling of heterogeneous visco-hyperelastic porous materials saturated by a viscous fluid. The mathematical model is based on the two-scale method of homogenization, see [3], [2] and [4]. The main code is written in C programming language and the supporting utilities are written in Python. The solver involves the parallel algorithm and can be running on computer clusters. 1 Software structure and supporting utilities Developed software: • HFEM PERF – finite element software, non-linear homogenization (C language) • Subsidiary programs. GCONVERT – converts finite element geometries between various data formats (Python language). RESVIEW – converts results stored in HDF5 data file to other formats (Python lan-guage) Other software and libraries employed: • Preprocessing – geometrical model. Gambit – Fluent’s geometry and mesh generation
