Jerry Sloan and Wayne Boultinghouse During the 1964 Basketball Season

By University of Evansville

Abstract

The Evansville College basketball team lost three of the four games in its first season in 1919-1920, but brighter days were ahead. Coach Arad McCutchan, a 1934 Evansville College graduate, leads teams to championship victories in the NCAA College Division tournament in 1959, 1960, 1964, 1965, and 1971. In September, 1976 the NCAA approves the University’s petition to compete in basketball at the Division I level.Use of this image is restricted to projects related to Destination Indiana.
