The Current Health Care Crisis

Abstract

Ours is a time of small answers to the health care crisis. Our lead-ers propose changes on the mar-gins. The reforms that they advocate are certainly worthwhile—expanding insur-ance coverage for children, malpractice reform, electronic medical records and improving access to generic drugs—but these measures by themselves, or even in combination, are probably inadequate to bring stability to a health care system that is spinning out of control
