    UNJUK KERJA BOILER TIPE CFB PADA UNIT 2 PLTU SULUT-3 DENGAN METODE LANGSUNG

    Steam power plant is a steam powered power plant that rotate a turbine connected to generator to generate electricity. Steam produced by an equipment that called a boiler. Boilers produce steam by heating water with heat energy that generated by the combustion of fuel. This study was conducted to analyze how effective the boiler at PLTU Sulut-3 generating unit in absorbing heat energy  from the fuel. The method used in this research is the calculation of efficiency with the direct method or the Input-Output method. Based on the results of efficiency calculations at 30MW power variations get an average efficiency of 78%, at 45 MW get an average efficiency of 80.09%, and at 55MW an average efficiency of 80.25%.     In the turning process, surface roughness is one of the important properties of the surface of an object because it determines whether or not the machine elements function properly. This is an obstacle in the industry, especially in manufacturing because it must be able to produce products with good surface roughness quality. Under these conditions, it is necessary to choose the right machining parameters. Some of the machining parameters that affect the quality of surface roughness are the main cutting angle and the feeding motion of the workpiece or feeding. Therefore, surface roughness is a measure of the accuracy and surface quality of a manufactured industrial product. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of feeding speed on the workpiece surface roughness in the KENT USA RML-1640T lathe process. To obtain the research results, it is necessary to test the lathe by varying the rotation by using a feed motion and a fixed depth of cut and the same test object material. The results of the analysis obtained from this study indicate that the feeding speed increases, the surface roughness increases. From the results of simple linear regression analysis, the regression line equation is obtained y ́ =2.839+0.030x which predicts that for every 1 mm/min increase in infeed speed, the surface roughness on the lathe for infeed speeds of 114 to 380 mmm/r will increase by 0.030 ΞΌm. And from the significant test results, it was found that feeding speed had a significant effect on the surface roughness of the turning process..   Keywords: Feeding Speed, Surface Roughness, Lathe Process &nbsp

    Maju Sejahtera Waste Bank is a waste processing industry in Manado City and is managed directly by the Malalayang District government which was established in 2021. This research aims to find out the process of sorting recycling waste and make improvements to the layout of waste bank facilities using Promodel Software. Research was carried out at the Maju Sejahtera Waste Bank and data collection in the form of interviews with managers and workers of the waste bank and conducted direct observations to calculate the time of waste transport vehicles and documentation.     Electrical energy has become one of the basic needs for the continuity of human activities. From time to time human activities continue to increase and the demand for electrical energy also increases. In order to overcome this, many innovations in electricity are needed to support the need for electricity. By utilizing rainfall that continues to exist every year, this research was carried out to obtain the performance of converting raindrop energy into electrical energy through piezoelectric circuits and different rainfall parameters. The method used in this research is an experimental method, where the pressure applied to the piezoelectric varies to produce a voltage. There are two types of tests carried out in this study, namely testing with a series circuit and testing with a parallel circuit of various height variations, including: 170 cm, 190 cm, 210 cm, 230 cm, 250 cm, and 270 cm. In testing series and parallel circuits, the highest output voltages are both at a height of 270 cm. However, when viewed from the whole experiment with ten variations to the six heights, the series circuit produces more average voltages than the parallel circuit.   Keywords: Piezoelectric, Series Circuit, Parallel Circuit, Rain

    In the turning that requires power to do so, there are several factors that affect the power required in tuning, cutting speed depth of cut, feeding workpiece material, and others. Of the several factors that affect the power of a lathe             The purpose of this study was to analyze β€œthe effect of cutting speed on electrical power consumption on the KENT USA RML-1640T lathe” in the mechanical engineering of  Sam Ratulangi University (Unsrat). To obtain research results, it is necessary to test the lathe by varying the rotation by using a feeding motion and a fixed depth of cut and the same test abject material.             The results of the analysis obtained from this study indicate that the increasing cutting speed tends to increase the use of electrical power on the lathe. From the results of simple liniear regression analysis, the regression line equation  predicts that for every 1m/min increase by Rp. 0.087.     10Along with the increasing population and technological advances, so The need for electrical energy is also increasing so that it demands the availability of energy continuous electricity. One of the problems faced by PLTU North Sulawesi-3 2x50 MW as a supplier of electrical energy is a decline in performance generating unit caused by the Coal Feeder equipment experiencing disturbance. From these problems, an analysis is needed to find out how influential Coal Feeder equipment has on performance generator. The research was conducted by observing the work of the Coal Feeder on load, plant operation data processing based on Performance Index Formula PT PLN 2007 generator. From the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that: Coal Feeder operation plays an important role in the reliability and efficiency of the process power generation of PLTU Sulut-3 2x50 MW, so that if the Coal Feeder is disturbed it will affect performance generators such as low Equivalent Availability Factor (EAF) and High Equivalent Forced Outage Rate (EFOR).     The tower structure of a wind power plant must be able to support other parts such as wind turbines, gearboxes and alternators. Thus the tower structure must be designed to be strong to withstand the heavy loads of other components and more specifically wind loads that can bend or break the tower structure if it is not strong enough.The purpose of this research is to calculate the load on the tower and design the tower structure for the L-type savonius wind turbine. Next, make a miniature tower to complete the miniature wind power plant which is the object of research.The tower structure is designed using pipes with dimensions; 2500 mm high, 203.20 mm outside diameter, 183.2 mm inside diameter, and 10 mm thick. The gearbox holder is made of 50 mm x 50 mm hollow steel with a thickness of 1.8 mm. The results of the static simulation of the tower structure using Solidworks 2016 show that the maximum von Mises stress is 1.33 MPa, and the maximum displacement is 1.84 mm.The designed tower is implemented in a miniature with a scale of 1:5, has a height of 50 cm and a pipe diameter of 2 inches, the gearbox holder is made of S 45 C strip steel with a size of 17 cm x 5 cm and a thickness of 5 mm. Keywords: PLTB, L-type savonius wind tower structure, Static simulatio

    The production process is one of the important activities of the company that needs to be considered considering its key role in the operation or absence of a business. Related to this importance, this study aims to determine the various types of inhibiting factors in the Abaka Fiber (Musa textilis Nee)   production process and create a ranking model by applying the Preference Selection Index (PSI) method. The results of the application of the Preference Selection Index (PSI) method in the Abaka Fiber Production case study showed nine types of inhibiting factors. Meanwhile, in terms of ranking of inhibiting factors, the priority of inhibiting factors ranked first is occupied by inhibiting factors.     Perancangan Gearbox Turbin Angin Savonius Tipe-L Untuk Pembangkit Listrik Pada Rumah Tinggal

    The L-type of Savonius wind turbine is one type of vertical axis wind turbine. The L-type of Savonius wind turbines have proven be an effective wind turbine for converting wind energy into electrical energy. One part that plays a role in the process of converting wind energy to electricity is a gearbox. The gearbox serves to increase the rotation coming from the turbine and then forward it to the alternator. In this research, a gearbox for wind power generation with the L-type of Savonius wind turbine has been designed. The gearbox consists of a pair of gears, two shafts, four bearings, and two keys.                The calculation results show that the gearbox speed ratio is 5.3, while the torque on the first shaft is 10.12 Nm and on the second shaft is 1.88 Nm.
