    APPLICATION OF ONLINE LEARNING ON ACID-BASE TITRATION TOPIC TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ LEARNING INTEREST

    Students' interest in learning chemistry, especially in acid-base titration material during the pandemic, makes the learning process ineffective, students tend to be quiet and not interested in learning. The application of learning that can be used during a pandemic is online learning. This study aims to measure students' interest in learning through the application of online learning and to describe student learning activities and student reactions to the application of online learning. The type of research used is quantitative research with quasi-experimental methods and the One Group Posttest-Only Design. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Banda Aceh with 28 students in class XI MIA 4 taking samples using purposive sampling technique. Collecting data through observation sheets of learning activities and student learning interest questionnaires. The output of the study showed that there were learning activities in the good category with an average value of 90% and 93% observed by the observer. The application of online learning can be used during the current pandemic, seen from the responses of students in the good category with an average score of 76.67. The level of student interest in learning before the application of online learning was 65.71%, after the application of online learning obtained very good results of 77.08%. N-Gain score obtained 32.51 which is included in the medium category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of online learning can increase students' interest in learning.Keywords: Online, interest in Learning, Google Classroom, Acid-Base Titratio

    Pengembangan Modul Chemondroid Materi Tata Nama Senyawa untuk SMA/MA Kelas X

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengembangkan modul chemondroid materi tata nama senyawa, (2) mengetahui kualitas modul chemondroid materi tata nama senyawa berdasarkan penilaian guru kimia SMA/MA, (3) mengetahui respon peserta didik terhadap modul chemondroid materi tata nama senyawa untuk SMA/MA kelas X, dan  (4) mengetahui keterlaksanaan proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan modul chemondroid materi tata nama senyawa berdasarkan observasi pada uji coba. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan wawancara dan angket. Subjek coba penelitian ini terdiri dari guru dan peserta didik SMA/MA. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model 3D, yaitu tahap define, design, dan develop. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul chemondroid mendapat kategori sangat baik berdasarkan penilaian guru dengan persentase keidealan masing-masing 81,82%. Selain itu berdasarkan respon peserta didik 86,67% dan observasi keterlaksanaan mendapat persentase sebesar 94,17%

    DEVELOPING NUTMEG OIL DISTILLATION VIDEO AS AN ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MATERIAL FOR CRAFT AND ENTERPRENEUR SUBJECT MATTER IN SMAN 1 PASIE RAJA

    The purpose of this study was to develop a video of nutmeg oil distillation as an alternative material for craft and entrepreneurship subjects for class XI SMA N 1 Pasie Raja. This study  is research and development (RD) with the ADDIE model developed by Dick and Carry (1996). The videos that have been successfully made have gone through the ADDIE stage, namely validation by media experts and material experts with an average score of 88.9% and 88.5%, respectively, so that the material and media aspects are categorized as very good. The learning video is applied in the classroom by showing it; teachers and students gave positive responses of 100% and 88.14%, both of which were categorized as very good. The score of students' understanding of the learning video media obtained an average percentage of 79.47% and was categorized as good. Video learning of nutmeg oil refining is appropriate to be used as a medium of learning in the subjects of crafts and entrepreneurship

    PRACTICUM IMPLEMENTATION ANALYSIS IN CHEMISTRY LEARNING IN HIGH SCHOOL IN BANDA ACEH

    It has been conducted a research entitled "enforcement analysis of the works in chemistry studies at Banda Aceh high school." The purpose of this study is to analyse the practice of chemistry studies in all high schools in Banda Aceh. The kind of research used was descriptive research with a survey approach. This research was conducted at high school in Banda Aceh. The reasons for the selection of a research facility, based on observations of high school researchers in the city of Banda Aceh is still lack of practical activities. The population in this study are all the teachers of chemistry in Banda Aceh high school of 78 people. The sample used in this study is twenty five of chemistry teachers. The selection of samples is conducted in a random sampling way by the researchers' consideration that the sample was considered homogeneous since high school at Banda Aceh was accredited to A. Data collection techniques were carried out by a wider distribution of questionnaires. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Based on research done on the implementation of the practice in chemistry  at the high school of Banda Aceh, it could be concluded that the performance of the law in chemical study at the city high school of BandaAceh was perfectly great with an average percentage of what obtained was 88%

    DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENTIFIC LITERRACY BASED MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS ON THE CONCEPT OF MOLE

    Research has been conducted on "the development of multiple choice questions based on scientific literacy on the concept of mole material". The purpose of this study was to find out how to develop questions based on scientific literacy on the concept of the mole, how to test the validity, reliability of questions based on scientific literacy and how students respond / respond to multiple choice questions based on scientific literacy. The type of research used is research and development (R D) with a 4-D development model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The target subjects in this study are Chemistry FKIP students. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews and test results. The research instrument used was an interview sheet, a questionnaire sheet and a multiple choice question sheet based on scientific literacy with a total of 20 questions that had been validated by 2 validators. The results of qualitative data validity analysis from the validation of the items, the percentage of each was above 80% with very high criteria and declared valid and the questions were feasible to use. While the quantitative data validity analysis the resulting percentage as a whole is 65% low category, 25% moderate category and 10% high category with a reliability coefficient value of 0.828 including very high and reliable categories. The results of the analysis of the responses obtained an average value of 78, meaning that the 30 students were more dominant in giving a positive response to the questions

    CHEMISTRY TEACHER'S PERCEPTION TOWARD SCIENTIFIC LITERACY

    Education has a very important role in the development of Indonesian people as a whole. Based on this, it is necessary to develop various sciences in order to improve the quality of learning and intelligence for a nation. Therefore a research has been conducted entitled Perceptions of Chemistry Teachers Against Science Literacy. This study aims to analyze the perceptions of chemistry subject teachers on scientific literacy in several high schools in Aceh. The sample of this research is chemistry subject teachers in Aceh. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique is in the form of an online questionnaire. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion in this study, of the 26 chemistry teachers who filled out a questionnaire, the majority of chemistry teachers had applied scientific literacy to the teaching and learning process after the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. Before the implementation of the 2013 curriculum teachers still often used direct learning. /lecture. Teachers in several areas in Aceh strongly support the application of scientific literacy in chemistry learning. Teachers are eager to take part in the training on scientific literacy that will be held. Professional Learning Community (MGMP) strongly supports the implementation of scientific literacy, especially chemistry lessons

    KRUENG BRAYEUN'S POTENTIAL AS A RAW SOURCE OF DRINKING WATER FOR BANDA ACEH CITY AND ACEH BESAR DISTRICT IN ATTAINING SDGS (SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS)

    This study aims to analyze the potential of krueng brayeuen as a raw source of drinking water for the city of Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar district. Data was collected through document analysis and analysis of water samples taken from 5 different points in the Krueng Brayeuen watershed. Water quality analysis includes metal content of Fe, Mn, ammonia content, Total Dissolved Solid (TDS), and organic matter content. While other qualities include color, odor, taste, chlorine content, and others. The results showed that the water discharge of krueng brayeuen every year showed a promising value to be used as a source of raw water. The results of the water quality test showed that the water in Krueng Brayeuen was tasteless, colorless and odorless. Testing of all other water parameters such as iron content, Mn content, ammonia content and organic matter content met the drinking water standards in general where the levels were still below the threshold set by PP. 22/2021.     IMPLEMENTATION OF BLENDED LEARNING TO IMPROVE STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES ON THE CONCEPT OF REACTION RATE

    This study aims to observe activities, learning outcomes and describe students' responses to blended learning on the concept of reaction rate. This is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were 29 USK Chemistry Education students who programmed the Basic Chemistry II course in class 02 of the 2018/2019 academic year. Data were collected through tests, observations and questionnaires. The instruments used in this study were learning outcomes test questions, student activity observation sheets and student response questionnaires. The results of observation of student activities are categorized as very good, learning outcomes are included in the good category with a score of 73.7. The application of blended learning received positive responses (71.7%). Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the application of blended learning on the reaction rate material had a positive impact on learning activities and outcomes and received good responses from students

    ANALYSIS OF SEDIMENTATION TRENDS IN EFFORTS FOR SUSTAINABILITY AT WONOREJO RESERVOIR

    Sedimentation is a natural problem that always occurs in water structures, especially dams and reservoirs. Wonorejo Reservoir as a multipurpose reservoir also experienced this. Sedimentation can affect the performance of reservoirs and dams. With the accumulation of sediment, the volume of the reservoir will change from time to time, so it is necessary to estimate the volume of sediment during the useful life of the reservoir and dam, so that they can function optimally. In addition, efforts are also needed to deal with the sedimentation. This study was conducted to estimate the volume of sediment that can occur during the useful life of reservoirs and dams, which is 50 years. Using limited data from previous studies, the study was carried out using the literature study method from other studies that have been carried out in other reservoirs and dams in Indonesia. Based on the estimation results, it is estimated that the volume of sediment in the Wonorejo Reservoir at the end of its age will reach 17.6% of the reservoir capacity volume. So it can be concluded that the reservoir can still work optimally. However, these results are not accurate enough due to the limited data available so that proper sedimentation management efforts are still needed. These countermeasures can be adopted from what has been suggested in other studies for reservoirs and dams in Indonesia

    DEVELOPMENT OF BULLETIN AS A LEARNING MEDIA ON ELECTROLYTE AND NON-ELECTROLYTE SOLUTION MATERIALS IN CLASS X MAS DARUL IHSAN ACEH BESAR

    This study aims to develop, analyze the feasibility and describe the responses of students and teachers according to the newsletter learning media on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution material. This type of this research is (Research and Development/ RD). The newsletter learning media developed in this study according to ADDIE model which has five stages: (1) analysis, (2) design,(3) Development (4) Implementation and (5) Evaluation. This research was conducted at the school of  MAS Darul Ihsan Aceh Besar with 3 chemistry teachers and 31 students taken from class X. The appropriateness of the newsletter media was assessed by the research supervisor. The percentage of teacher and student responses to the newsletter media that was developed was 97.22% and 83.97%  with the very good category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the developed newsletter media is very suitable for use in the learning process of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials
