ANALYSIS OF PHYSICAL CONDITION QUALITY IN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS’ FUTSAL EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
This study aims to assess the physical fitness levels of futsal athletes participating in extracurricular programs at six high schools in Tangerang City. Using a quantitative research method with a survey and analysis approach, data were collected from 60 students aged 16 to 18 years through purposive and area sampling. Six physical fitness tests were conducted: Sit and Reach (flexibility), Vertical Jump, Triple Hop Jump, Hurdle Jump (power), Illinois Agility Test (speed and agility), and Beep Test (endurance). The average scores of the participants were compared to normative data for both general non-athlete adolescents and trained athletes. Results showed that while the futsal athletes outperformed the general adolescent population in most fitness components, their performance was significantly lower than that of elite athletes, particularly in endurance and lower limb power. The findings indicate a need for improved training programs that emphasize physical conditioning alongside technical and tactical skills. Plyometric exercises, agility drills, and cardiovascular training are recommended to enhance the athletes’ physical capacities. This research highlights the importance of balanced training in school sports programs and recommends that coaches incorporate comprehensive fitness training tailored to students’ individual needs. Overall, enhancing physical fitness is essential for maximizing the performance and success of young futsal athlete
A QUALITATIVE EXPLORATION OF INDIVIDUAL MOTIVATION FOR INTERMITTENT FASTING SUPPORTED BY EXERCISE USING SELF-DETERMINATION THEORY
Obesity remains a global health issue with significant physical, social, and psychological impacts. One increasingly popular approach to managing obesity is the Intermittent Fasting (IF) diet. This study aims to examine the motivation and effectiveness of IF among fitness center members who also engage in regular exercise. Using the Self-Determination Theory (SDT) framework, this research explores internal and external factors influencing participants' commitment to IF.This qualitative descriptive study employed semi-structured interviews conducted at Idachi Fitness Metro Indah Mall. Thematic analysis following Braun and Clarke’s six-phase process was used to identify key themes. The findings revealed five categories of motivation: intrinsic regulation, identified regulation, introjected regulation, external regulation, and amotivation. Participants highlighted the benefits of IF, such as weight management, increased energy, and improved sleep quality. These findings underscore the importance of combining IF with exercise for achieving optimal health outcomes. Additionally, external motivations, such as social support and encouragement from trainers, often developed into intrinsic motivations as participants experienced health improvements. Further research is recommended to explore the long-term effects of combining IF and exercise on health and motivation

Modified Training Circuit: an Effective Solution to Improve Handspring Skills in Floor Gymnastics
This study aims to analyze the effect of circuit training modification on improving handspring ability in floor gymnastics in students of the Jayapura City Special Sports School (SKO). The background of the study was based on the low mastery of handspring (only 30% of students were able to perform the technique correctly) which was indicated by weak arm push, hip flexibility, and balance. The method used was an experiment with a true experimental design, involving 30 students who were divided into experimental groups (provided with modified circuit training) and control (comparator). The intervention was given for 12 meetings, focusing on explosive arm muscle power training, hip flexibility, and balance. The results showed a significant increase in the experimental group (average 1.673) compared to the control (0.687), with a P value <0.05. These findings prove that circuit training modification is more effective in improving handspring ability because of its holistic and specific approach. This study recommends the integration of this method into the physical education curriculum to optimize floor gymnastics learning

/weeks], implementing circuit training focused on mastering passing techniques and ball control in game-like situations. Data analysis employed a paired sample t-test with a 0.05 significance level and effect size calculation (Cohen’s d). The results indicated an increase in the mean score from 36.57 in the pre-test to 44.93 in the post-test, with a p-value = 0.000 (<0.05) and Cohen’s d = 4.58 (very large effect). These findings demonstrate that the circuit-based learning model is highly effective in enhancing fundamental futsal skills, particularly passing and ball control, making it a strong recommendation for application in both academic settings and competitive training environments
Efforts to Improve Volleyball Under Passing Using Modified Balls
This study aims to improve students’ ability in performing the underhand passing technique in volleyball through the application of modified ball learning media. The research employed classroom action research (CAR) following the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of the study were 20 students from class X at Umbulsari Senior High School, Jember. Data were collected through tests and observations on students’ underhand passing skills during the learning process. The results showed that in the first cycle, 13 students (65%) achieved the minimum mastery criteria (KKM = 70), while in the second cycle, the number increased to 17 students (85%). This indicates that using modified balls as a learning medium can significantly improve students’ volleyball underhand passing skills. The use of varied and engaging learning designs enhances students’ motivation, participation, and skill acquisition in physical education, particularly in volleyball basic techniques
