    The development of control systems has now reached a level that better facilitate the work of man. Most of control systems have been used in industrial companies.However, there is another thing that also have important rule in making easier the human's assignment which is in form of manual control, namely the simulation display system, installed on a device that is used to control theequipment using display on PC (Personal Computer) without facing them directly.This system has started to be implemented and applied by some modern industries. One example of the use of simulation display system is the construction of the simulation of reverse osmosis systems on PLTU (steam power plant) in order to facilitate the operator to run the simulation test. The problem statement created in this research was how to design the simulation display of reverse osmosis systems using the programming language of Macromedia flash 8, Delphi,ISIS Proteus, and Micro Pascal and then communicate it with the simulation of microcontroller based reverse osmosis systems. The result of this research is the simulation display of reverse osmosis systems which iscreated manually and automatically. The systemis communicated with the simulation of microcontroller based reverse osmosis systems where there are five motors and three tanks.The motors will drain the water of each tanks through the filtration process. Later on, the pure water as the final result of the filtration process will be used for steam cycle process in the boiler.     Pembangunan pembangkit listrik tenaga air tergantung dari adanya potensi aliran air sungai serta karakteristik Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS). Aliran air sungai tergantung dari adanya hujan yang jatuh dalam daerah tangkapan air dan unsur dalam sistem DAS berupa: geomorfologi DAS, morfometri sistem DAS, kondisi tanah, penggunaan lahan, vegetasi, serta unsur manusia sebagai pengguna air di daerah tersebut. Nilai energi aliran sungai dan ketinggian jatuh air (head) sangat menentukan kapasitas pembangkit energi listrik yang akan dibangun ditempat tersebut.     The use of electrical energy in University is an absolute and unavoidable. Based on data obtained, every year Tadulako University experienced a high increase in electrical energy consumption. The electricity bills of Tadulako University based on data 8 months from January to August 2015 reached Rp.2.567.411.878 that is in average of payment per month of Tadulako University is Rp.322.051.485.At the substation of FISIP electricity usage in January through August 2015 was highest in June reaching 61.750 kWh to the cost of electricity bill as big as Rp.55.575.000. Electric energy audit begins with the historical data collection of electricity biil in the last three years such as : the substation of FISIP on January to August, the data load of electrical equipment, and the spacious rooms supplied. The intensity of energy consumption and the energy-saving opportunities were counted from each supplied rooms of substation FISIP. The result of the calculation of the intensity of energy consumption in detail can be seen throught 160 total rooms if the energy-saving opportunity of 49 rooms is implemented. Therefore, Tadulako University can save the cost of electricity by Rp.30.140.900,73 per month.     Sigi is one of the youngest district in Central Sulawesi province was divided in 2008. Of the 152 villages, 10 villages are experiencing conflicts between residents. Bora Village and Village Vatunonju which is approximately 20 km from the city of Palu is 2 villages among the 10 villages that are often in conflict. Sources of conflict in general stems from a fight between youth. Increasing the number of teenagers who drop out of school temporarily limited employment is one of the problems that often lead to fights among youth. The low work skills possessed by the youth of this area is an issue that must look for solutions so that they can open up and explore job opportunities. This training aims to provide job skills for young people who are still out of school age. With a working capital given the skills they are expected to open and fill vacancies in areas Sigi continues to build. The training activities carried out for 8 months and was attended by 20 people. After the activity the participants are able to operate Microsoft Word and Excel. Although not all of the material provided can be controlled but this training provides many benefits. Especially for trainee electrical installations are already some people who often help people when there are problems in their electrical istalasi, there's even working at the company electrical installer.     Kebutuhan ketersediaan tenaga listrik saat ini sangat tinggi mengingat banyaknya permintaan pemasangan listrik setiap tahun. Untuk itu diperlukan perencanaan operasi sistem tenaga listrik yang handal untuk meramalkan kebutuhan beban listrik. Salah satu metode peramalan beban listrik adalah JST (Jaringan Syaraf Tiruan). JST merupakan sistem pemroses informasi yang mempunyai karakteristik mirip jaringan syaraf biologi. JST digunakan untuk peramalan beban karena kemampuan pendekatan yang baik terhadap ketidaklinieran. Pada metode ini digunakan JST dengan algoritma backpropagation dan hasil peramalan didasarkan pada data beban per hari dan data pelanggan untuk sector rumah tangga, bisnis, industry, social, dan pemerintahan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan lewat pemrograman menggunakan software MATLAB, proses pelatihan data yang dilakukan dengan arsitektur jaringan yaitu input layer 12, hidden layer 5, output layer 1 dengan parameter jaringan sebagai berikut laju pembelajaran 0,1, maximum epoch 1000, parameter goal 0,001. Hasil pelatihan yang dihasilkan berhasil 98%.     A short circuit is a common fault of overhead lines. In 2015, short circuit caused by surge lighting and fallen trees, occurred four times in transmission line connected PamonaSiderasubstation. In securing transmission line, distance relay should be applied as the primery protection. However, incorrect setting of relay may readily lead to relay failure to protect the line. Therefore, evaluation of relay setting is crucial. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the setting of distance relay that was installed at Pamona and Sidera substation. Furthermore, calculation of curent fault and impedance of short circuit was done by intervering fault to the line connected Pamona and Sidera substation in matlab. The method used is simulation using matlab application. The result shows that the highest short circuit current obtained at 25% of the length of Pamona-Sidera transmission line, 6203.47A.     One of the technologies that utilizes solar energy in delivering electric energy isphotovoltaic (PV) system. It converts solar energy into electric energy directly which is environmental friendly, non-pollution, not taking fossil fuel and low cost maintenance. Mineral Resources (ESDM) is one of the offices which uses PV system in Palu municipality. However, only 3 AC powered by non battery-PVis used in ESDM. In the future, ESDM have planned to add the capacity of PV system to supply the other AC. The objective of this study was to design PLTS system for supplying other AC and lighting especially in evening. In thiscase, sun panel capacity, battery, BCR, and inventers will be determined. This study also aims giving information about investment cost which is needed by PLTS with battery without battery and PLN. The calculation in this study used data from BMKG Meteorology Station Palu and Mineral Sources (ESDM) office of Central Sulawesi. The results showed that the capacity power for supplying Air Conditioner charge and lighting in evening was 122,54 kWh, where the systemsvoltage was 120 volt. moreover, the number of sun panel was 40 unit with capacity 200 Wp, 15 unit for battery with capacities 24v 1000Ah.Keyword : Photovoltaic design, Battery, BCR, Inverter, Early Investmen

    One major factor to support rural development is the availability of electrical energy. Given the geographical condition of Indonesia which consists of the islands are small and many are isolated, an estimated 6,200 villages would not be possible or very difficult in electric stream by way of the expansion of the grid. Therefore we need a technology solution that can exploit or overcome the limitations of the energy sources. One of the alternatives that can be done is the utilization of solar energy using solar cell or photovoltaic sensors in the form of solar panels. Based on population growth, and the current economic growth, the Government seeks to procure solar power plants each year to facilitate villages that have not received a solar power plant. It is necessary for forecasting solar power plant needs long-term so that the procurement of solar power plants will be optimized. The forecasting is done by projecting using fuzzy logic. From the analysis of the estimated total demand for solar power in the district of Parigi Moutong using fuzzy logic can be seen as follows; needs of solar power plants by 2016 is 1090 units, the need for solar power plants in 2017 is 1220 units, the need for solar power plants in 2018 is 1350 units, the need for solar power plants in 2019 is 1470 and the need for solar power plants in 2020 is 1580 units.     Digital era demands all thing could be done in computerized system to solve problems in easier way. So do with verification and identification system that continues to evolve with technology development. One of the implementations of it is face recognition. Human faces were taken as verification and identification system because they have unique characteristic and identity between one and others. Face recognition implementation on computerized system could be done with eigenface algorithm. Eigenface is one of face recognition’s algorithm based on Principal Component Analysis. Based on the best threshold value prospecting, it’s obtained for 2400, that value obtained for 100% of face recognition success rate. The image that can’t be detected and recognized as someone’s face is an image that has image distance error greater than predetermined threshold value and due to significant difference in light intensity of training images and test image.Keywords: Eigenface, Image, Euclidean Distance, and Face Recognitio

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi hibrid energi terbarukan (energi mikrohidro, energi surya dan energi angin) sebagai sumber energi alternatif dalam menunjang terwujudnya desa mandiri energi di Propinsi Gorontalo, dan secara khusus penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi hybrid energi terbarukan yang dihasilkan pada lokasi desa yang belum teraliri listrik yang dapat menunjang terwujudnya desa mandiri energi. Metode penelitian ini dimulai dari pengumpulan bahan referensi dasar serta data teknis dan non teknis, yang dilanjutkan dengan metode observasi untuk mendapatkan data tentang profil dusun/desa lokasi potensi hybrid energi terbarukan. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa: potensi debit air; intensitas radiasi matahari; dan kecepatan angin di kabupaten Bone Bolango, berurut-turut sebagai berikut: 0,19 m3/s; 368,94 W/m2; 1,68 knot di desa Tapadaa, dan 0,86 m3/s; 342,21 W/m; 1,14 knot di desa Tulabolo. Dan kabupaten Gorontalo berturut-turut sebagai berikut: 0,89 m3/s; 400,8 W/m2; 1,45 knot di desa Liyodu, dan 2,47 m3/s; 350,9 W/m2; 1,23 knot di desa Dulamayo Selatan.Kata kunci: Potensi, Hybrid Energi, debit air, energi surya, energi angin
