Management of the Qur’an Memorization Program at Darussalam Islamic Boarding School in Sampit
Background
Managing a Qur’an memorization program for young students poses unique challenges, as it requires managerial strategies that are appropriate to their developmental stages and necessitates the involvement of multiple stakeholders, including parents.
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to analyze the management of the Qur’an memorization program at Darussalam Islamic Boarding School in Sampit, with a specific focus on the aspects of planning and implementation, as well as to identify the supporting factors and obstacles encountered.
Design/method/approach
This study employs a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis.
Results
The results of the study indicate that the management of the Qur’an memorization program is carried out systematically through several stages: planning memorization targets, implementing activities tailored to the children's characteristics and needs, and conducting regular evaluations through tasmi’, munaqosah, and muroja’ah. The program’s success is supported by teachers’ commitment, a conducive boarding school environment, and effective motivational strategies. The main challenges include the lack of parental involvement and inconsistency in memorization during holidays or when the children are at home.
Contribution/value
To address these challenges, it is necessary to strengthen collaboration between the boarding school and parents, as well as to develop a more robust and consistent evaluation system. The findings of this study can serve as a reference for other Islamic educational institutions in designing adaptive and sustainable Qur’an memorization programs
Needs Analysis of Competency-Based Training for Customer Service Representatives
Background
Traditional training methods often emphasize generic content and may fail to address the specific competencies needed for effective performance in customer service roles. Consequently, there is a growing need for competency-based training (CBT) programs that align training objectives with actual job requirements and performance expectations. CBT focuses on developing specific skills, behaviors, and knowledge areas that are directly linked to job success.
Purpose
This study aims to analyze the need for competency-based training for Customer Service Representatives (CSR) at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), especially in Region VI Bandung.
Design/method/approach
Using a descriptive-verification approach with a non-experimental method, data were collected through a Likert questionnaire from CSR Region VI Bandung. Cluster analysis and Mann-Whitney tests revealed that out of 12 competency indicators, there were 8 indicators (such as empathy, communication, and problem solving) that showed significant differences between the superior and average CSR groups.
Results
This study shows that eight core competencies such as empathy, communication, and problem-solving need to be improved through focused training to enhance CSR performance at Bank Syariah Indonesia.

This study holds strategic value in designing data-driven CSR competency training to enhance service quality in Islamic banking
Implementation of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) Vocational High Schools (SMK)
Background
The inconsistency in the implementation of the PjBL learning model for class X AKL SMK PGRI Wonoasri in the independent curriculum listed in the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia is the basis for this research.
Intention
This study aims to analyze how the implementation of PjBL class X AKL SMK PGRI Wonoasri in the independent curriculum.
Design/method/approach
This type of research is qualitative descriptive. Primary data is collected through documentation, observation, and interviews. Furthermore, data analysis is carried out by means of 1) collection, 2) reduction, 3) presentation, and 4) conclusion drawn.
Result
The research shows that the implementation of the independent Curriculum PjBL in class X AKL SMK PGRI Wonoasri is not in accordance with the PjBL of the independent Curriculum of the Ministry of Education and Culture. The PjBL learning model is a solution to address problems that occur in the field, both in the education sector and beyond.
Contributions/values
Research contributions include 1) adding insight for readers and authors regarding the implementation of PjBL learning for Vocational High School Department of Institutional Financial Accounting; 2) as a material for consideration, development, and evaluation by schools, teachers, and students in the implementation of the PjBL Learning model
Education Quality Problems in the Independent Curriculum Era
Background
The problem of education quality in Indonesia is a complex challenge that requires a multifaceted approach. By improving access and quality of education, increasing teacher professionalism, and developing a relevant curriculum, it is hoped that the quality of education in Indonesia can improve significantly.
Purpose
The purpose of writing this article is to analyze various problems that affect the quality of education in Indonesia in the era of the independent curriculum and identify potential solutions to overcome these problems.
Design/method/approach
The method used in this article is literature study.
Results
The results of this research explain that from various problems with the quality of education in the era of the independent curriculum, the government continues to strive to improve and improve the quality of education, unequal access and quality of education, improving teacher quality and professionalism, improving educational infrastructure and facilities so as to achieve the goal of national education to create the next generation. superior and integrated successor.
Contribution/value
To overcome this problem, the government needs to increase teacher training programs, especially in hard-to-reach areas, apart from that, there needs to be a larger budget allocation for improving educational facilities, and educational equality policies must be a priority.
A Qualitative Inquiry into Marketing Strategies in Increasing Student Enrollment: Mind-Share Marketing Analysis of Latecomer University
Background
Higher education institutions - particularly latecomer or private university - are under growing pressure to differentiate themselves and attract sufficient enrollment to sustain operations and growth due to the heightened competition, shifting demographics, and changing student expectations in open and digital landscape.
Purpose
This study seeks to critically examine the role of marketing strategies in enhancing student enrollment at Nahdlatul Ulama University of Yogyakarta, a latecomer university in Indonesia.
Design/method/approach
The study proposes an integrated marketing framework specifically tailored for higher education, grounded in mind-share marketing management and interpreted to the lens of higher education. This study employs a qualitative methodology, utilizing an ethnographic approach to enable an immersive exploration of the social and cultural dynamics within the research context.
Results
Contrary to prevailing assumptions in existing literature, this study reveals that Nahdlatul Ulama University (UNU) Yogyakarta does not predominantly employ conventional marketing techniques such as advertisements, posters, or television campaigns, which are commonly adopted by many higher education institutions. Instead, UNU Yogyakarta emphasizes the development of sustained, strategic partnerships with key stakeholders - such as Islamic boarding schools, Nahdlatul Ulama-affiliated secondary schools, governmental agencies, and industry representatives - who hold significant influence over its long-term institutional growth.
Contribution/value
This marketing approach effectively cultivates customer loyalty, thereby ensuring a stable and potentially increasing student enrollment, particularly for latecomer university or private university
A Systematic Literature Review on School Literacy Movement
Background
The School Literacy Movement (SLM) has gained increasing attention as a strategic initiative to improve students’ literacy skills across various educational levels. This movement responds to global and national concerns about declining reading habits, comprehension skills, and critical thinking among students. Various studies have explored its implementation, challenges, and outcomes; however, a comprehensive synthesis of existing literature is needed to map the current state of research and identify gaps.
Purpose
This study aims to systematically review and synthesize research findings related to the School Literacy Movement, focusing on its objectives, implementation strategies, outcomes, and the challenges encountered.
Design/method/approach
This research adopts a systematic literature review (SLR) with databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, ERIC, and Google Scholar were searched for peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2024.
Results
The review identified a total of 42 relevant studies. Findings show that the SLM has been implemented with varying degrees of success depending on contextual factors such as school leadership, teacher training, student engagement, and availability of resources. Most studies reported improvements in reading interest and comprehension; however, several highlighted issues with sustainability, monitoring, and evaluation.
Contribution/value
This review provides valuable insights for educators, policymakers, and researchers by offering a synthesized overview of what has been done and what remains to be addressed in the field of school-based literacy initiatives. It underscores the need for more longitudinal studies and context-specific strategies to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of literacy movements in schools
The Implementation of International Standardization Organization (ISO) 9001 in Educational Institutions
Background
Related to business, including introducing products and services to the world community.
Quality refers to a dynamic condition related to products, services, individuals, processes, and environments that meet or exceed established expectations. The main focus is on continuous improvement to create products and services that have competitive quality at the global level.
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to explore and understand the concept of ISO (International Organization for Standardization), including its history, types, and significance, particularly in the context of educational institutions.
Design/method/approach
This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, focusing on literature study as the primary method. The data were collected through the review and analysis of various sources such as scientific journals, books, and credible internet articles related to ISO standards, particularly ISO 9001, and their implementation in educational institutions.
Results
The results of this study indicate that ISO, particularly ISO 9001, plays a vital role in enhancing the quality management systems within educational institutions. Schools that implement ISO standards show improved organizational structure, clearer documentation processes, and increased stakeholder satisfaction. The study also finds that ISO certification encourages continuous improvement and helps schools gain greater credibility and competitiveness on both national and global levels.
Contribution/value
This research contributes to the understanding of how ISO 9001 certification impacts the quality management systems in educational institutions. The study provides valuable insights into how schools can align their internal quality assurance systems with international standards, thereby enhancing educational service delivery
Integration of Ibnu Miskawaih's Character Education and Albert Bandura's Social Learning Theory

Purpose
This study aims to examine the analysis of the integration of Ibn Miskawayh's character education and Albert Bandura's social cognitive learning theory in shaping children's character.
Design/method/approach
This research employs a qualitative method with a literature study approach, analyzing literature related to character education from the perspectives of Islam and psychology.
Results
The findings indicate that integrating these two approaches can create a holistic character education model encompassing moral, spiritual, and psychological aspects. The implementation of this approach is expected to strengthen children's character development comprehensively, making it relevant to the moral and ethical challenges in the era of globalization and technology.
Contribution/value
The study's findings contribute significantly to the development of a more effective character education curriculum and can serve as a reference for educators and policymakers in designing character education programs in schools
Educational Conflict: A Management Perspective To Resolve Educational Violence in Islamic Boarding School

In the dynamics of general education and Islamic education, there will definitely be conflicts, both individual conflicts and group conflicts. In cases of conflict, the leader of the Islamic boarding school must understand the conflict management that will be carried out because it will greatly influence and have a positive or negative impact on the progress of the Islamic boarding school.

The purpose of this study is to analyze educational conflict in Islamic boarding schools.

The method using a qualitative approach and using observation, documentation and interview data collection methods and using library data both offline and online and access in mass media such as books, google, newspapers, TV news, magazines, online journal articles.

In managing human conflict in general by avoiding problems. This avoidance is based on fear of disputes and paralysis of function. The characteristic is the tendency to reject thoughts and avoid problems. Second, Approaching the problem and trying to find a solution. This characteristic is based on optimism and is more functional. violence is any act against a child that results in physical misery or suffering.

Optimization Of Student Management As A Pillar Of Educational Institutions In Indonesia

Student management plays a very crucial role in supporting the success of educational institutions in Indonesia. Effective management will create a conducive learning environment, strengthen character formation, and support the development of students' overall potential.

This article aims to examine how student management can support the quality of educational institutions, especially in improving the quality of the learning process and student welfare.

This article also highlights the importance of collaboration between schools, parents and the community in carrying out effective student management, in order to create quality education that is relevant to the needs of the times
