The Shinpuku-ji Manuscript of the “Miaofa Lianhua Jing Youbotishe妙法蓮華経憂波提舎”:Unveiling its Textual Lineage and Material Significance.Manabu AsanoThe Shinpuku-ji manuscript of theMiaofa Lianhua Jing Youbotishe, hereafter referred toas the Fahua Lun 法華論, has been documented in terms of its location and colophoncontent in previous studies, including Shinpuku-ji Zenpon Mokuroku 真福寺善本目録,edited by Katsumi Kuroita黒板勝美, and Shinpuku-ji Bunko Satsuei Mokuroku真福寺文庫撮影目録, compiled by Chizan Denpō in 智山伝法院. However, its full content has not yetbeen published.This manuscript, which includes an ancient colophon dated “Tenpyō Shōhō 7天平勝宝七年” (755), presents a particularly intriguing source for the scholarly investigation.The author had the opportunity to participate in two investigations of the originalmanuscript at the Ōsu Bunko大須文庫. A close examination of the content revealed that theShinpuku-ji manuscript of Fahua Lun is an ancient manuscript of immense textualsignificance.As discussed in this paper, the Shinpuku-ji manuscript of the Fahua Lun possessesseveral notable features of great scholarly value. These include red-ink annotations thattransmit early Kamakura-period reading methods, newly confirmed introductory notes inthe commentary on the introductory chapter that almost perfectly match the upper volumeof Engu’s 円弘 commentary on the Miaofa Lianhua Jing Lun Shichū 妙法蓮華経論子注 inthe Shōgozō聖語蔵 edition, and a textual lineage that closely corresponds to theFahua Luncited in theMiaofa Lianhua Jing Lun Shichū. This textual tradition is believed to preservean older textual tradition of the Bodhiruci 菩提流支 translation. Furthermore, its contentclosely approximates that of the one-volume Bodhiruci texts, such as the version of theFahua Lun in the Nanatsu-dera Issaikyō七寺一切経 edition, which includes the Kimyōju帰命頌. These characteristics highlight the exceptional material significance of the Shinpuku-ji manuscript of the Fahua Lun.The Fahua Lun Shu法華論疏written by Jizang吉蔵, who was active in China duringthe 6th-7th century, and the Hokke Kaijishō 法華開示抄 written by Jōkei 貞慶, who wasactive in Japan during the 12th-13th century, both utilize and cite the older textual traditionof the Bodhiruci translation of the Fahua Lun. Therefore, when conducting philosophicalresearch on these commentaries, it is no longer an appropriate research method to relysolely on the two Chinese translations included in the current Taishō Tripitaka大正新脩大ii蔵経 edition, given the progress made in textual studies of the Fahua Lun today.In the future, it will be essential to reference newly discovered manuscripts, such asthe Shinpuku-ji manuscript of the Fahua Lun and other ancient Japanese manuscripts ofthe Bodhiruci one-volume translations. Furthermore, an important research task arisingfrom this is the compilation of a critical edition that will serve as a definitive text forarchaic Bodhiruci translations.This paper focuses primarily on the textual lineage of the Shinpuku-ji manuscript ofFahua Lun. However, another significant feature of this resource is its vast number ofannotations, including excerpts from the long-lost Miaofa Lianhua Jing Lun Shichū.Further research is necessary to fully unravel these aspects and clarify the entirety of thisinvaluable material.iiiAbout the Glosses of the“Fahua lun” housed at Shinpukuji- TempleNakano NaokiThe early Kamakura period manuscript of the “Fahua lun” housed at Shinpukuji-Temple is notable not only for its Buddhist content but also for its punctuation marks,including Okoto-ten and Kana-ten which indicate how the text was read at that time andare of interest from a linguistic perspective. While this manuscript has been previouslyintroduced in prior studies as a kanji punctuation source (Kitanoin-ten) from the mid-Heian period, this paper aims to delve more specifically into the punctuation rules.This study focuses on the phenomenon that has been pointed out regarding thepresence of archaic readings in the punctuation rules, and it examines the time periodreflected in the punctuation marks of this manuscript, including the descriptions in thecolophon. The analysis will explore to what extent the punctuation marks of the “Fahualun” retain old reading formats, as well as how this manuscript can be positioned as alinguistic resource. Additionally, it will touch upon the continuity of punctuation marks.Furthermore, it aims to consider the reading style of that time inferred from thepunctuation marks of this manuscript. When utilizing punctuation materials as linguisticresources, primary annotated materials without transpositions or editorial changes, inother words, materials with initial annotations and clear information in the colophon aboutthe annotators and the time of annotation, are easier to handle as linguistic resources (ifthere are transpositions or editorial changes, it necessitates consideration of rearrange-ments and omissions, and without a colophon, questions arise about the originator and thetime of annotation). However, even if there were transpositions or editorial changes,instead of diminishing the linguistic value of the materials, this study proposes that theyshould be evaluated as representations of the reading and reception of that time, includingsuch transmission.There have been doubts about the conventional view that punctuation marks becamemore fixed and standardized with strong continuity after the 12th century, and even in thisearly Kamakura period manuscript, the punctuation marks might not have been fixed andcould still have been fluid. This study will reexamine the aforementioned manuscript froma new perspective that differs from the conventional view.ivThe Transmission of the Siyuan Jing 四願經Tetsujo MiyakeThe Siyuan Jing is a short scripture translated by Zhi Qian支謙. Notable for its existence inthree different versions, each varying in length and content:A. This version contains only the story in which Buddha and the wealthy Cunda純陀discuss the four wishes.B. Building upon Type A, this version adds passages encouraging the cessation ofevil and the practice of good, but the additional passages do not include the ap-pearance of the Buddha and Cunda.C. Expanding on Type B, this version appends sections from theQichu Sanguan Jing七處三觀經.Zhi Qian initially translated Type A during the Huangwu era (222-229). If theadditional passages in Type B were compiled by Zhi Qian, it can be inferred that Type Bwas established shortly thereafter. Around the 5th century, this scripture was referenced inthe compilation of the Taoist text Taishang Lingbao Tiandi Yundu Ziran Miao Jing太上靈寶天地運度自然妙經, with the referenced version being either Type B or Type C.In Chinese catalogues, such as the Da Tang neidian lu大唐内典録, the version citedappears to be Type A. Phonetic interpretations of this scripture are absent in Xuanying’sYinyi玄應音義 andHuijin’s Yinyi慧琳音義. However, in Xinji Zangjing Yinyi Suihan lu新集藏經音義隨函録, compiled by Kehong可洪 around the 10th century, this scripture’s phonet-ic interpretations are included, based on Type C.Among continental editions, the second edition of the Korean Canon 高麗版再雕本preserves Type A, suggesting that the Kaibao Canon開寶藏 likely also follows Type A. InJiangnan 江南, the Dongchansi edition 東禅寺版 is based on Type A, but after the SiqiCanon思渓蔵, most Jiangnan editions transitioned to Type C. This suggests that in China,texts associated with central authority predominantly followed Type A, while otherversions were based on Type C.In Japan, Type B had been introduced by the 5th year of Tempyō (733). Around the12th year of Tempyō (740), Type B was also included in a scripture collection compiled aspart of a vow by Lady Fujiwara 藤原夫人願經. However, in the scripture collection thatEmpress Kōmyō vowed onMay 1st光明皇后御願經（五月一日經), the source text was likelyType A. During the Nara period, it is presumed that Type C had not yet reached Japan.Since authoritative transcriptions, such as those in Empress Kōmyō’s collection, werevused as base texts for subsequent copies, Type A continued to be transcribed during theHeian and Kamakura periods.viAnnotation of the Buddhacharita in the Xuanying’s Yiqiejingyinyi, Vol. 20LI NaiqiThe Buddhacharita is widely recognized for its literary value and religious significance asa poetic text praising the merits and virtuous deeds of the Buddha. This paper focuses onthe annotations of the Buddhacharita in the 20th volume of the Yiqiejingyinyi byXuanying, with the aim of elucidating the background of the expressions and phrases usedin the Buddhist texts.The “Yiqiejingyinyi” played the role of a dictionary, explaining difficult words and phrasesappearing in Buddhist scriptures through annotations, and contributed greatly to theunderstanding and spread of Buddhism. The words and phrases treated in theYiqiejingyinyi reflect the cultural background and tradition of Buddhist literature of thetime, and aim to deepen Buddhist thought through the interpretation of the Yiqiejingyinyi.In this paper, through the interpretation of the Yiqiejingyinyi, the sutra readings, and thetranslations and commentaries, I will revisit the Buddhacharita from relevant linguisticand cultural perspectives.vii

 ― 1 ―  氏名・（国籍） 宗 艶紅（中国） 学 位 の 種 類 博士（文学） 学 位 記 番 号 博甲第３３号 学位授与年月日 令和７年３月１２日  学位授与の要件 学位規程第２条第２項該当  学位論文題目 北宋仏国禅師惟白の研究 論文審査委員 主 査 教授 池 麗梅  副 査 教授 落合 俊典  副 査 教授 藤井 教公    論 文 内 容 の 要 旨  本論文は、北宋時代の仏国禅師惟白を研究対象とし、歴史学・文献学・思想研究という三つの方面から仏国惟白の伝記、現存著作と思想を明らかにしようとするものである。 惟白（11 世紀中期～12 世紀初期）は、北宋の末頃に首都地域で活躍した雲門宗の七世禅師であり、法雲寺の三代目住持を務めた人物である。その著作として、『仏国禅師文殊指南図讃』一巻（『図讃』）、『建中靖国続灯録』三十巻（『続灯録』）、そして『大蔵経綱目指要録』八巻（『指要録』）が現存している。『図讃』は善財童子五十三参の物語を図とテキストで表現するユニークな著作である。『続灯録』は雲門宗の禅師に重点を置く語録として、『景徳伝灯録』、『天聖広灯録』に続く北宋時代に成立した三大伝灯録の一つである。『指要録』は、開宝蔵に基づいて撰述した現存最古の大蔵経解題目録である。この中、特に『続灯録』と『指要録』の二作は勅許によって開宝蔵に収録することを認められた重要な著作である。 北宋時代では、著者の在世中に複数の著作が勅命により大蔵経に編入される事例は極めて珍しく、北宋代を通じて契嵩（1007～1072 年）と惟白の二人だけである。この二人は共に宋代の仏教史・禅宗史において重要な貢献をした雲門宗の禅師であるが、契嵩とは対照的に、惟白に関する総合的な研究は皆無に近く、その事跡や人物像そして思想及び後世への影響は未だ明らかになっていない。しかし、『指要録』等を丹念に読み解けば、その禅教五派に対する総体的理解や禅教融合的な仏教史観は、実に重要であることが判明してくる。そこで本論文は惟白とその著作に対する研究を通じて、彼の仏教史及び思想史における位置づけと再評価を試みることにも意義がある。 本論文は、序論、本論、結論から構成されるが、各部分の概要は以下の通りである。 序論では、本論文の研究目的と学術的背景を述べた上で、惟白とその著作に関する先行研究を回顧し、本論文の研究方法を紹介している。  ― 2 ― 本論は、二部・七章からなる。第一部「仏国禅師惟白の伝記と著作」では、三章にわたり惟白の人物像、及び現存著作の中から『続燈録』と『図讃』について検討している。 先ず、第一章「仏国禅師惟白の生涯事跡」では、仏国惟白の生涯事跡を考察することによって、彼の生きた時代とその著作が生まれた歴史的背景をできる限り明らかにした。宋代成立の伝記資料では、惟白の事跡に関する記述は断片的で不明な点が多いが、本章では諸資料、諸記述を精査することによって、特にその出自・出世、そして法雲寺を住持した期間中の事跡をある程度解明できた。 次に、第二章「『建中靖国続灯録』の成立と入蔵」では、『続燈録』の構成及び内容を概観した上で、同書の成立と入蔵の過程を明らかにした。同時に、恩恵を施す皇帝、権力の仲介者としての大臣、そして君恩に積極的に応えようとする僧侶それぞれのあり方、そして恩を巡って施す側と報いる側の持ちつ持たれつの関係性で成り立つ調和的な政教関係に関する惟白の理解も併せて明らかにしている。 また、第三章「『仏国禅師文殊指南図讃』のテキスト研究」では、『文殊指南図讃』の代表的なテキストとして、南宋の杭刻本、日本の宋版覆刻本二種・萩洞春禅寺本・蔵経書院本・正徳六年本・元文三年本・明和四年本・卍続蔵経本・大正蔵本等について、それぞれの現存状況と形式的な特徴や流通状況を概観し、諸本間の異同について明らかにしている。 続いて、第二部「『大蔵経綱目指要録』の研究」では、四章にわたり、惟白の最も重要な代表作である『指要録』の構成、成立、入蔵、及び同書から窺える惟白の思想について検討している。 先ず、第一章「『大蔵経綱目指要録』の成立と撰述意図」では、惟白の生きた時代的背景をある程度理解した上で、文献学的観点から、『指要録』の全体構成や成立及び入蔵の経緯を概観した上に、附録の「五利」の分析を通して、同書が撰述された意図について考察した。 次に、第二章「『大蔵経綱目指要録』に基づく開宝蔵目録の復原」では、『指要録』と『開元録・入蔵録』の比較、及び『指要録』と『金蔵』目録・『高麗蔵』目録（正蔵部分）の比較を通じて、これらの目録の間に存在する差異を検討した。また、『指要録』自体に存在する問題、あるいは『指要録』を用いて『開宝蔵』や『金蔵』の目録を復元する際に注意すべき点を、これらの差異を通じて明らかにした。 続いて、第三章「『大蔵経綱目指要録』における報恩思想」では、『指要録』巻八の末尾に添えられた「大蔵経綱目指要録五利五報述」の「五報」に基づき、惟白が『指要録』を撰述した意義及びその報恩思想を検討した。 最後に、第四章「『大蔵経綱目指要録』における禅教融和の思想：「禅教五派宗源述」を手掛かりとして」では、「禅教五派宗源述」を手掛かりとしながら、惟白の禅教融和的な仏教思想を考察し、彼の北宋仏教における位置づけ、後世への影響を明らかにした。 結論では、本論文の各章の末に提示した小結などに基づいて、本論文で論じた内容を総括してから、今後の研究課題を展望した。    ― 3 ― 論 文 審 査 の 結 果 の 要 旨  宗艶紅氏の博士学位論文『北宋仏国禅師惟白の研究』は、北宋時代を生きた仏国禅師惟白という人物を対象とし、歴史学、文献学、そして思想研究の三つの視座から、彼の伝記、現存する著作、並びにその思想内容を体系的に解明しようとするものである。同論文は、惟白が静江府（現在の広西省桂林市一帯）冉氏の出身であり、号は仏国禅師、また北宋末期に東京（汴京）法雲寺の住持として活躍した点に着目している。更に、その『仏国禅師文殊指南図讃』（以下、『文殊指南図讃』と略称）、『建中靖国続灯録』（以下、『続灯録』と略称）、そして『大蔵経綱目指要録』（以下、『続灯録』と略称）という三つの現存著作を対象に、それぞれの成立背景、内容、構成及び後世への影響を検証している。特に、『続灯録』と『指要録』に関しては、皇帝の勅許により北宋勅版大蔵経（開宝蔵）に収録されたという、当時極めて稀な事例である点に注目し、同じ雲門宗の契嵩との比較を通じて、惟白の独自の報恩思想、更には禅教融合的な仏教史観の再評価を試みている。 同論文の研究目的は、まず惟白に関する伝記資料や史伝が断片的である現状を踏まえ、彼の出身地や生涯事跡、特に法雲寺の住持としての活動を明らかにすることである。また、各著作がそれぞれ独自の形式と内容を持ち、特に『文殊指南図讃』においては図と文の連関を通じた物語表現、そして『続灯録』においては禅門の法脈継承や政教関係の理想像が提示されている点に注目し、これらが後世の仏教思想にどのような影響を与えたのかを検討する。更に、『指要録』に関しては、開宝蔵の解題目録としての役割を文献学的に解析するとともに、実際の勅許編入の過程やその成立意図を明らかにすることで、惟白自身の思想的特徴を分析し、当時の宗教・政治的背景との関連性を示すことにある。 先行研究の検討においては、仏国惟白に関する論考は、黄啓江氏や楊曾文氏、杜継文氏などが北宋の寺院や禅宗史の一環として言及しているに留まるため、惟白の伝記および著作全体を包括的に扱う研究は不足している。とりわけ、『指要録』に関しては、中村菊之進氏、童瑋氏、李富華氏・何梅氏、方広錩氏などの文献学的・目録学的研究が進められているものの、『指要録』そのものを対象とした研究は限定的であり、また禅籍の入蔵に関する柳田聖山氏や椎名宏雄氏の先行研究も存在するに留まる。更に、『文殊指南図讃』については、南宋杭刻本およびその日本への伝来と変容に関する諸研究が行われているが、テキスト自体の詳細な解析は十分ではなく、本論文はその点に対する補完的な検討を試みている。これらの先行研究の不足を踏まえ、著者は惟白の生涯や著作、そしてその思想の全体像を再評価し、惟白に公正な歴史的位置づけを与える必要性を説いている。 同論文は、まず第一部において惟白の伝記および著作のうち『続灯録』と『文殊指南図讃』を対象に、彼の出身地や住持時代の活動を詳細に考証する。特に、「靖江」と「静江府」という歴史地名の沿革や所在地の考察を通じて、惟白の出身地を確定し、法雲寺における住持期間についても厳密に検討している。第二部では、『指要録』に焦点を当て、文献学的手法に基づきその成立過程、撰述意図、更には巻八に示された報恩思想や「禅教五派宗源述」による仏教史観を精緻に論じている。これにより、著者は惟白が自らの著作を通じて表現した、諸 ― 4 ― 仏の説かれた妙法と祖師らが伝える妙道の両立という理想を、具体的かつ多角的に解明することに成功している。 評価の観点から、同論文は、対象となる史料の断片性という困難な状況下にあって、丹念な文献精査と多角的なアプローチによって、惟白の伝記や著作の再構築を試みた点で大きな意義を持つ。特に、『続灯録』及び『指要録』における政教関係や報恩思想、禅教融合的仏教史観の分析は、これまで十分に検討されなかった分野に新たな知見を提供している。一方で、論文は『指要録』に重点を置くあまり、『続灯録』や『文殊指南図讃』の詳細なテキスト比較や、更に深い考察が必要な点があることは否めない。また、惟白の生涯に関する史料が断片的であるため、再構築においては不確定な要素が残る可能性があり、今後の新たな資料発見や他文献との広範な比較検討が求められる。 総じて、宗艶紅氏の論文は、北宋時代の仏国禅師惟白という、これまで十分に評価されてこなかった対象に対して、歴史学、文献学、思想研究という三つの視座から徹底的な検証を行い、新たな研究の方向性を示す重要な成果であると評価される。同論文は、史料の厳密な分析と多角的な解釈を通じて、北宋時代の宗教・政治・文化の相互作用の実態を浮き彫りにし、また惟白の思想が後世に与えた影響についても再評価するものである。本学の評価基準に鑑みた場合、同論文は高い学術的価値を有するとともに、今後の関連分野研究の発展に大きく寄与する成果であると判断される。

 ― 1 ―  氏名・（国籍） 王  雪（中国） 学 位 の 種 類 博士（文学） 学 位 記 番 号 博甲第３２号 学位授与年月日 令和７年３月１２日  学位授与の要件 学位規程第２条第２項該当  学位論文題目 『集古今仏道論衡』の研究 論文審査委員 主 査 教授 落合 俊典  副 査 教授 池 麗梅  副 査 教授 デレアヌ フロリン    論 文 内 容 の 要 旨  本論文は『集古今仏道論衡』に対して文献、歴史、思想などの方面から総合的な研究に取り組んだものである。道宣（596～667 年）撰『集古今仏道論衡』（略称『仏道論衡』）は、後漢から唐初に至るまで、仏教と道教との間に繰り広げられた論争に関わる記事を集めた全四巻の護法書である。『集古今仏道論衡実録』、『古今仏道論衡』、『仏道論衡』とも呼ばれる。道宣が同書を撰述するに当たって、『晋書』、『弘明集』、『高僧伝』等の史料を参考にしたほか、自らの著述である『続高僧伝』などからも一部の記事を抜き取って再利用している。仏教の立場から護法思想を全面的に打ち出し、神秘的な記述内容も多数含まれているが、仏道論争の重要事案を網羅し、特に南北朝時代から唐初に至るまでの儒仏道三教の交渉史を研究する上で、極めて重要な文献資料の一つである。 『仏道論衡』の資料は価値が広く認められ、様々な研究に活用されてきたが、『仏道論衡』そのものに関する研究はまだ少ない。まずテキスト自身に成立及び流伝についての議論がある。宋元時代の刊本大蔵経は、形式的特徴と目録構成という二つの基準に基づいて、「中原開宝蔵系」・「北方系」・「江南大蔵経系」という三つの系統に分類されている。この三系統の間で、『仏道論衡』のテキストは互いに一致していない。現在、最も広く使われている『仏道論衡』のテキストは、『大正蔵』第五十二巻に収録された高麗再雕本を底本とし、「宮」（開元寺蔵本）・「宋」（思渓蔵本）・「元」（普寧蔵本）・「明」（嘉興蔵本）の四本で対校したものである。実際には最初の開宝蔵本の巻三と巻四に重大な欠陥があり、再雕本の底本である高麗初雕版は、最も長安写経に近い契丹蔵本に基づく校合によって、ようやく道宣が撰述した四巻本の様相を呈するに至った。第一章では三大刊本系統大蔵経の成立過程を踏まえながら、三大刊本大蔵経本の『仏道論衡』を中心に概観した。 経録の記載に基づくと、『仏道論衡』のテキストとして、かつては三巻本と四巻本の二種が ― 2 ― あったことが分かる。中国・高麗の刊本大蔵経に所収されている『仏道論衡』のテキストはすべて四巻本であるが、日本古写経本にだけ三巻本が残っている。その日本古写経の三巻本と刊本系統の四巻本とを比較した結果、両者の間には内容の差が確認された。第二章では興聖寺本・七寺本・金剛寺本を中心に『仏道論衡』の日本古写経本を概観した。それぞれが属する一切経と寺院の成立過程を踏まえながら、諸本の書誌情報を示した。そして日本古写経本の伝来を遡り、原初の完全な三巻の古写経本は円珍請来のもの、と確認した。 第三章では、まず経録を利用して、刊本系統テキストと写本テキストとの違いを互いに検証し、『仏道論衡』の初治本（三巻）から再治本（四巻）への成立過程を確認した。収録された記事から見ると、三巻本の日本古写経本はすべて初治本の規模を反映し、四巻本の刊本系統本はすべて再治本の規模を反映したと見られる。更に刊本と写本のテキストを比較した上で、初治本を本にし再治本を参照して編集された江南系統本の特殊性を論じた。江南系統本『仏道論衡』は他のテキストと比較し検討した結果、複雑な成り立ちを持つことが分かった。それは道宣自ら二種のテキストを流伝させたからである。本論第一・二・三章の考察を通して、種々のテキストの性質を定めることができた。それらのテキストの中でただ日本古写経本だけが唐において道宣が最初に完成した初治本に遡ることができ、長安写経を底本として成立した契丹蔵は、道宣によって後に完成させた四巻の再治本に遡ることができる。開宝蔵、高麗初雕・金蔵本は四巻再治本の変形で、高麗再雕蔵本は上掲二種の四巻本から生まれた四巻再構本である。更に江南系統本は三巻初治本と四巻再治本から生まれた四巻再構本である。 第四章ではまず『仏道論衡』の全 33事の内容を概観して、記事が依拠する史料の本源により、前三巻を「集録」、第四巻を「実録」に再分類した。そして集録部分の三巻までの 26 条の記事は、引用した原資料により、本源の見当たらない⑭・⑮・⑲と、他の著者の著作を引用する①∼⑨、⑬と、道宣自身の著作を引用することがある⑩～⑫、⑯～⑱、⑳～㉓の三種類に分けられる。更にその三種類を詳しく分析した上で、『仏道論衡』前三巻の編纂上の特徴を纏めた。 第五章では『仏道論衡』の「実録」部分（第四巻）の編纂上の特徴を考察した上で、内容の意義を検討した。まず、本書「実録」の記事の最後に附する護法僧の伝記を、『続高僧伝』・『宋高僧伝』の関係する所と比較した。そして高宗の宮廷論争での道教側の中心人物である李栄の論弁、及び彼の著作を中心として、この時代の護法僧の修学する背景をも考慮した上で、仏教の道教哲学の発展への影響を検討した。唐初の仏教義学が全体的に高度に発達している情況の下で、仏・道の両教の思想上の落差及び互いの交流により道教側も理論が発展していった。最後に唐初の「道先仏後」の宗教政策の下で、実際に仏教の理論や道教の哲学が急速に発展したことを背景に、高宗朝の宮廷論争が現れた原因と、宮廷論争における高宗の役割を論じた。更に「捨道帰仏文」を通して、高宗・武后の時代に、仏教の実際的な優勢及び道士の写経・造像の普遍性を検討した。 第六章では、『利涉論衡』や『道氤定三教論衡』などの唐代の仏道論争書及び元代の『至元弁偽録』により、『仏道論衡』の影響を検討し、更に時代によって修学の異なっている護法僧により、仏道論争の内容も異なっていることを示した。  ― 3 ―  論 文 審 査 の 結 果 の 要 旨  王雪氏の博士学位請求論文『『集古今仏道論衡』の研究』は、撰者道宣（596～667）が後漢の明帝から唐の高宗時代までに代々論争されてきた仏教と道教の代表的な論争をまとめた『集古今仏道論衡』を、文献学的・歴史学的・思想的に研究した論文である。 先行研究には本書の文献学的研究は僅少であった。しかし近年劉林魁氏が高麗再雕版を底本として諸刊本大蔵経を校本に用い、さらに『広弘明集』や『法苑珠林』『続高僧伝』などを広く援用して『集古今仏道論衡校注』（2018）を上梓し、この方面の研究は格段に進展した。先行研究の歴史的研究や思想的研究などは中国仏教史上ながらく議論されてきた礼拝問題に終始し、その基礎となる文献学的研究が看過されてきた問題を劉林魁氏はテキスト校注をもって確固たる地歩を築いたのである。しかし王雪氏が指摘するように全体解明に必須の日本古写経が用いられていない点は、劉林魁氏の研究はテキスト研究の端緒を開いた開拓者とし、次の真の先駆者を待たなければならなかった。 本論文の文献学的研究では、王雪氏はテキスト構成において刊本大蔵経系（四巻本）と日本古写経系（三巻本）とで大きく異なり、その全体的解明を詳しく研究している。日本古写経本の翻刻・校訂はもとより経録や諸目録を参照し検証している。日本古写経の古い記録では正倉院文書を取り上げ、伝来の考察を行っている。『開元録』などの経録では三巻本と四巻本とが併記されているが、王雪氏は三巻本を初治本とし、四巻本を再治本としたが、刊本大蔵経系の中でも江南系統本は複雑な構成になっていることを証し、その原因が道宣に帰するとしている。すなわち道宣自ら初治本と再治本を流伝させたことに起因するとしている。道宣の著述にはこのような展開を見せるテキストが多い。『集古今仏道論衡』もその例に漏れないことが判明したのである。 歴史学的研究では、先行研究が僧尼不拝君親の礼拝問題について集中しているので道宣自身の歴史観や歴史的背景の包括的研究が必要であると述べているが、本研究のなかでは高僧伝等の伝記を補完する慧立・義褒・静泰・霊弁を取り上げているに過ぎない。それらの考察はやや皮相的であり更なる考究が必須である。もっとも本書に関して礼拝問題以外の考察の必要性を論じた点は評価できるが、今後の研究の進展に期待するところである。 思想的研究では道教側の重玄学の泰斗李栄を取り上げている。敦煌文献の中から道士李栄が著した『洗浴経』（『太上霊宝洗浴身心経』）が見つかり、神塚淑子氏の研究を援用しながら二重否定を説く重玄学を重視する李栄の論述を紹介している。ただ、『集古今仏道論衡』では思想的展開は深く考究されず主に儒仏道の優劣、釈迦仏と老子は同年代か否か、仏教と道教の席順などが争われた。しかし王雪氏は、李栄の「本際」の義の論点や義褒の「道」と「自然」を取り上げ考察し、本書の道教側の論の衡りを述べていることは興味深く評価できる考察である。 次に評価の観点から本研究の特徴を挙げるならば、第一に日本古写経の諸本を丹念に調査・熟覧し、刊本大蔵経中心の校訂本作成の風潮に大きな反省点を投げかけたことである。 ― 4 ― 文献学的研究においては諸本の収集と校合が必須であるが、写本のなかでも当該文献の敦煌本が断簡程度しか存しない時だけでなく、敦煌本と親密性を有する日本古写経をあわせ校訂する必要性は言を俟たない。王雪氏は道宣撰『集古今仏道論衡』の日本古写経校訂本を示すことでその大いなる欠陥を補ったと言えよう。第二に、その研究成果に基づいて諸本の系譜を闡明にして「系統図」を示したことである。昨今テキストの系譜論的研究は盛んであるが、多くは詳細な本文校訂なしに一部を取り上げて作成する傾向が強い。徹底的な校訂本を作成することこそ文献学的研究の真骨頂である。 総じて王雪氏の研究は日本古写経の諸本をくまなく取り上げ考究することで刊本大蔵経系との差異を明確にしてテキスト本来の複雑な動きを明らかにしたことが評価できる。同論文はテキストの厳密な分析と多面的な解釈を通じて唐代の代表的な仏教史家であり南山律宗の祖であり、また『広弘明集』の編纂から『集古今仏道論衡』という仏教と道教の論争に関する論述・論争の書を撰述した巨大な学僧道宣の思索の経緯と深層を解明した点は、本学の評価基準に鑑みて高く評価でき、学術的価値を有するとともに、今後の関連する分野の研究に大いに寄与するものとして博士論文に該当すると判断する。
