    Tourism is an important sector for the Indonesian economy, and the country is well-equipped to make tourism a leading industry that can compete on the global stage. However, the Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the tourism industry in Indonesia. To revive the industry and attract more tourists, the Ministry of Tourism created Anugrah Desa Wisata Indonesia (ADWI), an award given to outstanding tourist villages that meet certain assessment criteria. This initiative is expected to boost tourism and promote economic growth in local communities.This research aims to examine the impact of the ADWI policy on the development of the tourism industry and the local economy. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected from interviews, observations, and other supporting documents. The results indicate that the ADWI policy has had a significant impact on the tourism industry, as evidenced by the development of supporting infrastructure, an increase in the number of visitors, and income generated from tourist attractions. However, while there have been more business and job opportunities, the impact on the local economy has not been significant

    Social Impacts of Ecotourism Development in Kalibiru

    Kulon Progo possesses the potential of natural beauty in the form of forests and hills. With the emergence of awareness about ecotourism potential, significant social transformations have occurred, particularly for the community in Kalibiru over the past decade. The initiation of ecotourism in Kalibiru has led to a surge in socio-economic changes among the local population. This paper aims to present the social transformation that has taken place in Kalibiru in relation to changes in forest status and the operation of ecotourism. The research is qualitative and employs participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentary studies in data collection. The obtained data will be analyzed from the perspective of social change based on conflicts. From this research, it can be concluded that tourism grows due to conflicts arising from detrimental changes in forest status policies affecting the local community. The existence of Kalibiru ecotourism has transformed an agrarian-based community into tourism participants. When the ecotourism sector experiences a downturn, it creates socio-economic changes in the community, requiring them to return to agrarian activities or seek alternative livelihoods

    This research explores the concept of Digital Free Tourism (DFT) in the context of 'experiencing museum' in Ullen Sentalu. This study aims to analyze the application of the DFT concept in Ullen Sentalu Museum, Yogyakarta, as well as its implications for the museum's tourism experience. This research uses qualitative methods with an exploratory study approach conducted with data collection methods, namely observation, in-depth interviews, and literature studies collected from journals, books, articles, and also the Ullen Sentalu museum page. The results of this study found that the Ullen Sentalu Museum successfully applied the DFT concept by controlling the use of on-site technology during museum tours to maintain the safety of the collection and create a more immersive 'museum experience' and increase visitor curiosity and wellbeing. Ullen Sentalu also does not reject digital utilization but continues to innovate by optimizing digital content during pre-site and post-site to reflect his commitment to be relevant in the digital era while maintaining traditional values in DFT

    Carrying capacity measurement in an ecotourism concept is very important to measure the capacity of space to receive the number of tourists and their activities in the area. The calculating methods of the carrying capacity concept have been implemented in several ecotourism areas based on several categories, such as; physical, real, effective, ecological and socio-cultural carrying capacity. In this case, research was carried out with the aim of studying the concept of carrying capacity applied in Karkheh National Park and National Parks in Indonesia. This can be studied to find a new concept that can be useful for carrying capacity calculations in Indonesia which are more complex and on target. Literature study is the method used in this research to examine information related to each National Park area. Thus, the results of the elaboration of the concept of carrying capacity between Karkheh National Park and National Parks in Indonesia show that socio-cultural carrying capacity needs to be applied to National Parks in Indonesia because of the same high density context

    Pandemi COVID-19: Pengaruh Positif pada Jaminan Kesehatan di Destinasi Pariwisata Super Prioritas

    Penguatan baru di tengah masyarakat terjadi di tengah pandemi COVID-19 khususnya terkait dengan kesehatan. Jaminan kesehatan lengkap dengan informasi dan layanannya mengalami peningkatan drastis dibanding sebelum masa pandemi. Studi ini berupaya untuk mengkajinya secara lebih lanjut dengan 3 pertanyaan utama: : a) bagaimana posisi dimensi CHSE di tengah elemen vital lain dalam evaluasi DPSP selama COVID-19?; b) bagaimana unsur dimensi CHSE di DPSP berubah selama COVID-19?; dan c) bagaimana pengaruh dimensi CHSE terhadap dinamika wisatawan di DSPS?. Data untuk menjawab pertanyaan tersebut didapatkan dengan menggunakan metode kuisioner, wawancara, dan FGD. Responden dipilih secara purposif, yakni mereka yang sebelum dan semasa pandemi masih melakukan aktivitas kepariwisataan. Mereka terdiri dari pengelola desa wisata dan pemilik usaha-usaha pariwisata. Selain bersumber dari responden, informasi juga didapat dari informan dengan total 2 informan. Dalam forum FGD, juga hadir 2 narasumber yang berasal dari instansi pemerintah daerah, 1 narasumber dari Asita (Asosiasi Perusahaan Perjalanan Wisata Indonesia), 1 narasumber dari PHRI (Perhimpunan Hotel dan Restoran Indonesia, forum komunikasi desa wisata, dan 1 narasumber dari BDOT (Badan Otorita Danau Toba). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa CHSE menjadi satu-satunya dimensi yang mengalami kenaikan dibanding dengan dimensi lain—yakni dimensi produk, dimensi pasar dan pemasaran, dimensi kelembagaan, dimensi investasi, dimensi adaptasi, serta dimensi kebutuhan—dalam merespon kebutuhan wisatawan di era pandemi

    The Travel Bureau is one of the supporters that makes it easy for the public to access various information and transportation that supports tourist trips. The high level of tourism travel in Indonesia with easy access for the community, especially the emergence of a travel agency that makes it easier for the public to access various information and transportation that supports tourism travel. The existence of online transactions also helps boost sales of travel agents as well as helping the country's economy. The method used in this study is a quantitative method that is associative and explanatory with primary data by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents. The analytical method used is simple linear regression analysis, validity test, reliability test, classic assumption test which consists of a normality test, linearity test, and hypothesis testing, namely the T test and the coefficient of determination test. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant positive effect of price on customer loyalty at AntaVaya Tour & Travel by 55.7% and the remaining 44.3% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. The conclusion in this study is that price has an influence on customer loyalty so that Antavaya Tpur and Travel should pay attention to price and also other aspects such as service quality, facilities, ease of ordering, and so on. For other researchers, it is better to add other variables besides price in influencing customer loyalty

    Copysites: Persepsi Wisatawan Mengenai Reproduksi Simulakra di Petite France

    This study discusses simulacra reproduction at copysites, Petite France in Gapyeong, South Korea. Simulacra means a copy of a non-existent reality. Petite France was chosen because it is the only theme park with a French countryside vibe and combines pop art from The Little Prince, a french famous literature. France, the country that is most romanticized by tourists, making Korean and foreign tourists both those who have been to France and those who have not been interested in visiting Petite France to see how South Korea visualizes France. The theoretical basis for simulacra in this study is based on the research of Gravari-Barbas (2019) and Fangnan (2017). The method used in this study was semi-structured interviews with fourteen Korean tourists and seven foreign tourists visiting Petite France. The results of the study show that tourists do not care about the historical origins and cultural authenticity of the attractions and architecture in Petite France. It is known that their reason for visiting is for fun, entertainment, and to get a unique and different yet familiar experience through their lives. Petite France as copysites is the result of simulacra because it doesn't really imitate a real place in France, but creates a new French village in Korea and unify The Little Prince literature to add tourist’s experiences

    Commonly used tourism carrying capacity assessment methods currently have shortcomings because they still use indicators that cannot be measured, making it difficult to be understood and applied in the form of policies by relevant parties. In addition, some indicators are not collected at all by authorities because they are not considered important or are only relevant for one type of destination and not for other destinations. So ESPON conducted research to develop a new method for assessing the carrying capacity of tourist areas that was implemented in four destinations in Slovenia and Italy. The method was then adapted to be implemented in the Lembang tourism area, and has several stages, namely an overview of tourist destinations, a review of tourist destinations from the point of view of sustainable development and tourism development, data collection of tourist destinations, identification of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT), and strategy formulation. Some of the resulting strategies are utilizing natural and cultural wealth wisely to improve the economy and welfare of the community around the tourist area, involving all parties (managers, government, community and tourists) in maintaining public facilities of tourist attractions, making bad reviews of tourists as an evaluation for tourist attraction managers, especially those related to improving public facilities, protecting natural wealth by giving strict sanctions to people who damage nature in tourist areas, and empowering the community in developing all existing tourist attractions

    Penguatan SDM dalam e-Marketing untuk Promosi Desa Wisata di Kabupaten Malang

    Abstrak Kabupaten Malang merupakan salah satu kabupaten di Indonesia yang sangat fokus terhadap pengembangan sektor wisata melalui konsep desa wsiata. Beberapa desa wisata tersebut telah cukup dikenal baik secara nasional maupun internasional. Namun demikian, masih terdapat desa-desa wisata lainnya yang belum banyak dikunjungi wistawan yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya promosi yang dilakukan oleh Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) pengelola desa wisata setempat. Keterbatasan kompetensi SDM menjadi salah satu penyebab minimnya usaha promosi yang dilakukan. Di sisi lain, perkembangan teknologi menuju era digital seharusnya semakin memudahkan upaya pemasaran atau promosi wisata karena kemudahan akses dan jangkauan yang luas melalui media online digital (e-marketing). Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kendala yang dihadapi oleh SDM desa wisata di Kabupaten Malang dalam upaya promosi atau pemasaran khususnya dengan menggunakan e-marketing. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan deskripstif kualitatif untuk memaparkan keadaan SDM dan promosi di desa-desa wisata Kabupaten Malang secara faktual. Data dianalisis secara langsung dengan langkah reduction, data serving, dan verification. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa SDM desa wisata Kabupaten Malang memiliki kendala dalam melalukan kegiatan promosi atau pemasaran secara e-marketing. Berlandaskan kesimpulan tersebut, penelitian ini berimplikasi praktis bagi Disparbud Kabupaten Malang khususnya, sebagai salah satu acuan penyusunan langkah-langkah penguatan SDM dalam e-marketing agar upaya promosi melalui media online digital dapat dimaksimalkan. Dengan demikian, diharapkan kunjungan wisata akan meningkat sebagai dampak dari meningkatnya kompetensi SDM dalam melakukan upaya promosi atau pemasaran online. AbstractMalang Regency is one of the districts in Indonesia which is very focused on developing the tourism sector through the concept of a wsiata village. Some of these tourist villages are well known both nationally and internationally. However, there are still other tourist villages that have not been visited by many tourists due to the lack of promotion carried out by the local tourism village management human resources. Limited competency of Human Resources (HR) is one of the causes of the lack of promotional efforts undertaken. On the other hand, technological developments towards the digital era should make tourism marketing or promotion efforts easier because of the ease of access and wide reach through digital online media (e-marketing). Based on these conditions, this study aims to identify the obstacles faced by human resources in tourism villages in Malang Regency in promotion or marketing efforts, especially by using e-marketing. This research was conducted with a qualitative descriptive approach to explain the condition of human resources and promotion in tourist villages in Malang Regency factually. Data were analyzed directly with reduction, data serving, and verification steps. This study concludes that the human resources of the tourist village of Malang Regency have obstacles in carrying out promotional or marketing activities by e-marketing. Based on these conclusions, this research has practical implications for Disparbud Malang Regency in particular, as a reference for preparing steps to strengthen human resources in e-marketing so that promotional efforts through digital online media can be maximized. Thus, it is hoped that tourist visits will increase as a result of the increased competence of human resources in conducting online promotion or marketing efforts
