Empirical study on the influencing factors of adolescent recidivism

    Get PDF
Individual, family, and society are the three main factors influencing adolescent recidivism. By employing in-depth interviews to develop a questionnaire on "real-world social treatment" affecting adolescent recidivism, and combining it with the commonly used "low self-control" and "family functioning" scales in adolescent crime measurement, a survey was conducted among 49 incarcerated adolescents who had reoffended. After statistical analysis of the survey data, it was found that the factors of "low self-control" and "real-world social treatment" significantly influenced adolescent recidivism, while the factor of "family functioning" had no significant impact. There is a certain correlation between family socioeconomic status and the factor of "real-world social treatment." Changing the situation of "real-world social treatment" can influence the psychology of adolescent recidivism

Probabilistic analysis of data structures for locality-sensitive hashing functions

    Get PDF
For the nearest neighbor search problem in high-dimensional spaces, Locality-Sensitive Hashing (LSH)has shown excellent performance in terms of query cost and disk space utilization. Under the traditional analysis model, LSH is considered a randomized algorithm, with the only uncertainty being the choice of the hash function. In this research, the collision probability obtained under this model is referred to as the hash-function-based collision probability. In this paper, a different analysis model is used to conduct a theoretical analysis of LSH. The motivation for this work is twofold:1) Under the existing analysis model, users must generate random data structures for each query point to achieve the theoretical effect, which is impractical in real applications.2) The performance metric that users are concerned with is the expected collision probability of a random query point in a single data structure. Based on this, this paper derives the collision probability of random point pairs under the Hamming distance for any single hash function. The collision probability derived under this model is referred to as the query-based collision probability. It is also proven that in the Hamming space, the two types of collision probabilities are identical

The effects of exercise intensity on energy expenditure, weight, and lee\u27s index in adolescent obese rats

Objective: To investigate the effects of different intensity exercise prescriptions on immediate energy expenditure, body weight, and Lee\u27s Index in adolescent obese rats immediately after exercise during an 8-week weight loss process. Methods: After 7 weeks of modeling, 32 obese rats were randomly divided into 4 groups, with 8 rats in each group: obese control group, low-intensity exercise group, moderate-intensity exercise group, and high-intensity exercise group. The running speeds on the treadmill for the three intensity levels were set at 15–18 m/min, 21–25 m/min, and 28–32 m/min, respectively, with 5 sessions per week and 60 minutes per session for 8 weeks. Body weight was measured and Lee\u27s Index was calculated weekly. A rat metabolic system was used to measure the immediate oxygen uptake and energy expenditure in rats after exercise. Results: During the 8-week intervention, the exercise groups showed significantly higher immediate post-exercise muscle oxygen uptake and total oxygen uptake, as well as muscle energy expenditure and total energy expenditure compared to the control group (P<0.05, P<0.01). The high-intensity group had higher values than the low-intensity group (P<0.05). Weight gain was significantly lower in the intervention groups compared to the control group (P<0.05, P<0.01). Lee\u27s Index was significantly lower in the intervention groups at week 8 compared to the control group (P<0.05, P<0.01), with no significant differences between different exercise intensities (P>0.05). In adolescent obese rats, body weight tends to increase with age, while muscle oxygen uptake, total oxygen uptake, muscle energy expenditure, and total energy expenditure tend to decrease. After 8 weeks of exercise intervention, different intensity exercise prescriptions can increase immediate post-exercise oxygen uptake and energy expenditure in adolescent obese rats, with the most significant effects observed in the high-intensity group. Weight gain and Lee\u27s Index were reduced, but the effects were less influenced by exercise intensity

Study on physical strength of 8-14-year-old rhythmic gymnasts in Sichuan

    Get PDF
This study conducted relevant physical strength tests on 101 young rhythmic gymnasts aged 8-14 in Sichuan Province, covering upper limb strength, trunk strength, and lower limb strength. The collected data were integrated using mathematical statistics and analyzed logically to reveal the characteristics of strength training for rhythmic gymnasts aged 8-14, as well as the development features of static and dynamic strength at different age stages. The findings provide suggestions for improving the physical strength training of young rhythmic gymnasts in Sichuan Province

School education must meet the self-esteem needs of adolescents

    Get PDF
Adolescence is a peak period for physical and mental development and a critical period for the development of self-esteem. Whether the self-esteem needs of adolescents are met affects their growth and development. To address the self-esteem needs of adolescents, schools should implement respect education; teachers should maintain the self-esteem of adolescents; schools and teachers should guide parents to value their children\u27s self-esteem needs, enabling adolescents to form and maintain high self-esteem, thereby promoting the mental health development of adolescents

Monitoring Pre-competition Indicators in Elite Adolescent Racewalkers

    Get PDF
This study tracked the physiological and biochemical indicators of five elite adolescent racewalkers during the phase training before the final of the 18th Jiangsu Provincial Games. The results indicate that the training of adolescent racewalkers should follow the principle of individual differences. In the training plan, emphasis should be placed on the arrangement of speed intensity and training load. Adjustments should be made in a timely manner based on the changes in the athletes\u27 physiological and biochemical indicators. In addition to rational training, attention should also be paid to nutritional supplementation, especially in the recovery from physical fatigue. Furthermore, given the significant emotional and psychological fluctuations of adolescent athletes, timely psychological counseling is also necessary

Interpreting "Adolescent Rebellion" based on labeling theory

    Get PDF
Labeling theory originates from the study of deviant behavior. It emphasizes that “social norms lead to deviant behavior,” suggesting that the emergence of deviant behavior is a process of being labeled. “Adolescent rebellion,” as a socially defined deviant behavior, arises from the negative interactions between adolescents and adults and is a phenomenon where adolescents are labeled after violating the social norms of the adult world. There are two consequences of the labeling of “adolescent rebellion.” One is the stereotype of adolescents by society, and the other is the self-identification of adolescents with “adolescent rebellion.” Thus, the labeling of “adolescent rebellion” is also legitimized
