Analyzing the Structure and Efficiency of Upazila Parishad in Service Delivery

    Get PDF
This study evaluates the structure and efficiency of the Upazila Parishad (UZP) in Bangladesh, focusing on its role in service delivery. The Upazila Parishad, as a local government institution, is tasked with providing essential public services at the grassroots level. Despite its pivotal role in rural administration, the UZP faces significant challenges in fulfilling its service delivery responsibilities. The research analyzes three main factors: the structural framework, operational efficiency, and financial capacity of the UZP. Key findings indicate that the lack of coordination between elected representatives and bureaucrats, limited autonomy due to the national government’s influence, and insufficient financial resources hinder the UZP's performance. Furthermore, the study highlights the inefficiency in manpower allocation and the adverse effects of bureaucratic inefficiencies on service quality. The results show that while the Upazila Parishad plays a crucial role in basic services like road maintenance, sanitation, and primary education, its inability to manage more complex tasks is evident. Additionally, public dissatisfaction with the quality of services provided by the UZP was widespread, with respondents noting poor sanitation and inadequate nutrition services. The study emphasizes the need for structural reforms, enhanced funding, and clearer roles for local officials to improve the effectiveness of the UZP in serving rural communities. The paper suggests that decentralizing administrative control and addressing institutional inefficiencies could significantly enhance local governance and service delivery in rural Bangladesh

    Get PDF
In the digital age, social media marketing has drastically altered social connections and customer behavior. With an emphasis on how social media marketing influences consumer attitudes, cultural norms, and mental health, this study explores the numerous ways that social media marketing impacts society. As businesses utilize Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter more and more to communicate with big audiences, understanding these consequences is critical.  The study aims to determine how social media marketing affects, among other aspects of society, social interactions, cultural perspectives, consumer behavior, and mental health. The study makes use of secondary data collection methods, including a comprehensive survey of the literature. Thematic analysis is used to find patterns and gather data. Significant research demonstrates that social media marketing significantly increases consumer involvement through customized campaigns and user-generated content, which fortifies brand loyalty and influences consumer behavior. It does, however, also reinforce cultural norms and prejudices while offering the possibility of societal transformation. Virtual communities are known to be altering social interactions, but using them excessively might lead to social isolation. Negative pressure to maintain idealized online personas and constructive criticism are both hazardous to mental health. The growing importance of influencer marketing is emphasized, but so are privacy and ethical issues around data collection and targeted advertising. With cutting-edge technologies like augmented reality, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence, social media marketing is set to undergo yet another revolution. The study offers several recommendations, such as enhancing the personalization of marketing campaigns, utilizing user-generated content, balancing cultural representation, lessening the detrimental effects of social interactions, prioritizing mental health, addressing ethical and privacy issues, ensuring that influencer marketing is genuine, and embracing emerging technologies. Future research on these processes is warranted, focusing on the moral implications and challenges of developing technologies. This in-depth investigation highlights how important it is to act ethically and continuously adapt to the ever-changing world of social media marketing. &nbsp

    Get PDF
This study investigates the crucial function of Application Performance Management (APM) in software development, emphasizing how it affects teamwork, user pleasure, and application quality. Successful APM procedures are now necessary to guarantee the best possible application performance in a competitive environment as businesses depend increasingly on digital solutions. Examining how APM is changing and how it affects software development processes is the main goal of this research. The study's objectives are to evaluate the efficacy of APM methods, uncover important themes, and point out areas that require more investigation. The main issue addressed is the lack of knowledge on the long-term effects of APM on business results and the difficulties that businesses encounter when implementing APM methods. The approach used in this study is qualitative and is based on secondary data collected from industry reports, expert analyses, and existing literature. The main conclusions show that APM is included in DevOps procedures, proactive monitoring is becoming more prevalent, and user-centric metrics are prioritized. Nonetheless, there are still issues with tool selection and use. One of the limitations of this study is using secondary data, which might not fully represent the subtleties of APM practices. The practical implications emphasize the value of implementing cutting-edge monitoring systems and encouraging teamwork. In contrast, the theoretical implications point to the necessity for additional study into the long-term impacts of APM
