The discovery and excavation of Tutankhamun's tomb by Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon in 1922-1930 sparked Egyptian interest in Egyptology and archaeology learning, as well as effective participation in excavation missions in Egypt. Egyptians have worked hard to expand their role in Egyptology education and to increase their participation in excavation missions. This article focuses on how Egyptians reacted to the excavation of Tutankhamun's tomb between 1922 and 1930. It traces the impact of such discoveries on Egyptian officials and intellectuals, who worked tirelessly to raise public awareness of archaeological discoveries and encourage Egyptology education for Egyptian students both at home and abroad. A descriptive analytical methodology will be used in this paper. However, there was hardly an Egyptian Contribution to Clearing and conserving the Tutankhamun Collection whose discovery was as a chock motivated the Egyptians to improve their position in the world of Archaeology

The idea and practice of Demonstrator Projects have been used increasingly over the last 20 years; however, the process of demonstration and the unique characteristics of these projects do not feature prominently in the literature. This paper aims to define Demonstrator Projects, investigate their nature, and explore what factors exist to support or hinder them to demonstrate and propagate their findings. It enhances this knowledge in two main analytical stages, based on the questionnaire survey of Demonstrator Projects. Firstly, a Principal Component Analysis is performed to identify critical factors that impact the success in demonstrating. Secondly, a cluster analysis is undertaken on the factors to classify Demonstrator Projects and to identify specific factors supporting or hindering their performance. The analysis emphasizes the importance of a clear communication plan that is sufficiently resourced and supported by the top management. The clusters developed generalities of behaviors to argue why some Demonstrator Projects are more successful than others. Implications for policymakers to shape opportunities for future Demonstrator Projects are then discussed in terms of managing the performance of Demonstrator Projects through tailored success evaluation strategies

The research objective of this research is to theoretically identify the capabilities organizations need to have to create and sustain social value. We focus on multinational enterprises as this type of organization has much influence worldwide and in local communities. We use the High-Performance Organisation (HPO) Framework in our research as it provides the characteristics organizations need to have in order to achieve sustainable excellent results: results that should include the creation of social value. We find that theoretically the majority of the 35 HPO characteristics in the HPO Framework influence one or more of the social value components positively. In the next, empirical, stage of our research, we will investigate whether the positive relationship between HPO and the creation of social value in practice holds true. This will be evaluated in a follow-on pilot study at two multinational enterprises

The money abundance that preceded the 2008 crisis brought about a number of distortions in the value judgements of economic actors and their attitudes towards money. Unlimited liquidity generated a huge supply of credit, which all economic players exploited beyond their means. The crisis-induced downturn caused huge problems in the repayment of loans. Tens of thousands of families and businesses have faced problems in surviving, caused by increased credit burdens. As a consequence, attitudes towards credit changed significantly after the crisis. For the Hungarian households too, excessive borrowing before the crisis caused huge problems. In Hungary, the problem was not only with the volume of credit, but also with its denomination. The proliferation of foreign currency lending and the exchange rate risk that it entailed was a huge challenge for tens of thousands of families, which they could only overcome with state support. The aim of this study is to examine the borrowing of households in Hungary over a number of years, looking in particular at its composition and the types of credit. In this study, the analysis was based on the household stock data of the Hungarian National Bank. The aim of the work is to show the trends and changes in Hungarian household borrowing in the wake of the crises. The analysis reveals the effects of the crises, which can be reduced by increasing financial awareness. The study provides a good basis for strengthening the financial culture of Hungarian households, which areas limit future irresponsible borrowing and provide a good shield against crises in the financial field

Since many SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) lack internal resources, they usually look for external credits that banks are the main providers of. However, most of those businesses’ main concern is to gain credit access since these businesses are not very efficient when minimizing information asymmetries between them and their lenders. Thus, relationship lending that includes close interactions, long-term relationships, and, close ties between SMEs and banks might reduce information asymmetries and might provide easier credit access conditions for SMEs. In this regard, this research aims to investigate the positive association between the length of the relationship, the closeness of communication, the house bank status, and access to bank credit. In line with this selected purpose, the researcher created an online questionnaire and collected data from 479 SMEs operating in Turkey. To examine the specified relationships, the researcher performed Binary Logistic Regression analyses. The results confirm the positive relationships between the variables of relationship lending and access to finance. Therefore, SMEs focusing on socializing and networking activities with banks might receive advantages to gain easier credit access conditions. The reasons for these results might be related to cultural, and executive-firm-specific characteristics, including the structure of society, the sectoral experiences, and the length of doing business, respectively

Ordinary subscribers face difficulties in understanding legal language, jargon, legislation and contract terms included in the privacy policies or terms of services used in the digital services, especially in smartphone apps. In particular, software developers are expected to include simpler language to comply with the legal provisions, and the users demand clearer language in the privacy policies or terms of services of the apps to provide informed consent. This paper reviews two projects that aim to simplify legal languages, one for developers and one for users. The primary aim of these projects is to encourage clearer legal language and provide reforms and proposals to improve current practices. It has been revealed that these efforts to simplify legal language are applied to specific categories and narrow fields and do not replace the original legal documents

Collaborative governance is gaining attention as a model for improving public administration and increasing citizens' trust in government. Over the past two decades, theoretical and empirical studies have considered mechanisms for new forms of governance, and a variety of evidence assures that stakeholders can come together and work cooperatively to solve mutual problems. Existing research indicates that collaborative governance can be a possible alternative to command-and-control or adversarial policymaking and its implementation. In addition, there is interest in research that recognizes the variables that influence collaborative governance outcomes and whether collaboration is successful. These include the initial conditions of a collaborative process and essential elements of collaborative placemaking, such as trust-building and facilitative leadership. This study analyzes the literature on collaborative governance in terms of theoretical and empirical aspects, focusing on municipal SDGs in Japan. The SDGs are aimed at sustainable development in both developed and developing countries, and recently even in Japan, some local governments have been actively working to rethink their existing policies in terms of SDGs. This study examines the drivers, conditions, and challenges of collaborative governance from the perspective of municipal SDGs
