Promoting creative writing in seventh grade students through literature
Writing is a skill that is developed in the early years of learning. The study aimed to promote the development of creative writing in seventh-grade students through the literature of the Dr. Gonzalo Abad Grijalva Educational Unit from September to December 2023. The methodology has a quantitative approach; scientific information on the development of creative writing and literature was contrasted as a component to improve skill deficiencies in students. In addition to research instruments, a survey and an interview were applied. and an observation sheet that experts in Language and Literature validated to determine the problem and try, through the proposal, to improve the problems that arise in teaching practice. The results showed that students exposed to creative writing through literature demonstrated significant improvements in writing skills, including idea elaboration, grammar, and sentence structure. There are difficulties such as the limited promotion of creative writing through literature by the Educational Institution, in addition to the fact that technological tools are not used. However, teachers use meaningful educational strategies and activities, such as motivation, that foster the student's internal inspiration.

Teaching strategy to promote reading from literary corners in basic education
A diagnostic study carried out in the third year of Basic Education in the Jeremías Velásquez Educational Unit of the Chone canton about reading and the use of literary corners for its development, showed that there are problems in the development of reading in students, specifically in the determination of main ideas, secondary ideas, in the understanding of messages and the motivation towards it. Furthermore, the study also revealed that the literary corners established for this purpose are not used adequately for pedagogical practice. Based on the above, the objective of this work is to develop a didactic strategy to promote reading from literary corners in the third year of Basic Education of the Jeremías Velásquez Educational Unit of the Chone canton. The methodology followed is a mixed approach, and the sample consisted of a total of 25 students from the third year of Basic Education, 17 parents, and nine teachers. Through the socialization workshops, the feasibility and objectivity of the practical implementation of the proposal were demonstrated
Code-switching vs. translation: A systematic review of cognitive processes in EFL classrooms
This literature review examines the cognitive processes involved in code-switching and translation in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classroom through the analysis of 23 quantitative studies published between 2010 and 2024. Using desk research methodology with systematic content analysis, this study investigates how these two pedagogical strategies differ in their cognitive demands, implementation patterns, and learning outcomes. From the analysis, three themes were identified: (1) cognitive load and the mechanisms of learner processing, (2) factors influencing teacher decision-making, and (3) student learning outcomes alongside their affective reactions. It was found that code-switching functions as a cognitive process that is automatic and responsive to context, supporting real-time meaning construction, while translation engages more focused, analytical cognitive processes centered on linguistic accuracy as well as metalinguistic scrutiny. The study focuses on teacher cognition, student proficiency level, and task complexity as the primary ones determining strategy choice. The findings indicate that both strategies are used in an EFL context for complementary rather than opposing purposes, with code-switching promoting communicative fluency and translation promoting communicative precision. The article ends with proposals for advanced organized training for teachers and balanced instruction that incorporates both strategies, tailored to defined objectives and contextual frameworks
Legal implications of not extending building use rights on state-owned land
This study discusses the legal implications arising from the failure to extend the Right to Build (HGB) on state-owned land using a literature review method. The failure to extend the HGB results in the land reverting to state ownership and severing the legal relationship between the HGB holder and the land. This situation directly impacts legal certainty and protection of ownership rights over buildings constructed on the land. Buildings standing on state-owned land without a valid legal basis become vulnerable to expropriation, demolition, or other administrative actions by the government. This study emphasizes the importance of awareness and administrative compliance among HGB holders to renew their rights to ensure legal certainty, asset protection, and prevent economic losses. This study is expected to serve as a reference for building owners, the government, and policymakers in understanding and anticipating the legal consequences that may arise
Benguet Kankanaey self-representations in local films in Benguet, Philippines
This paper studies the self-representation of the Benguet Kankanaey, an Igorot subgroup that occupies the northern part of the province of Benguet, in local films. Guided by the post-colonial theory as the framework and textual analysis as a tool, this study underscores that local films serve as space for the Kankanaey to counter the alternate realities about them being reinforced in Philippine mainstream media. In particular, local films counter the misrepresentations by emphasizing agency. This paper further proposes that local films serve as a tool for resistance against misrepresentation in mainstream cinema. Containing constructive representations of their complex lives, the production of local films should be sustained
The role of university leadership in managing strategic quality development in higher education
This paper investigates the role of university leadership in managing strategic quality development in Vietnamese higher education institutions. Drawing on a mixed-method design, the study combines survey data from 287 university leaders and faculty members with 24 semi-structured interviews and document analysis from eight institutions. Quantitative results reveal that leadership effectiveness significantly predicts strategic quality development, which in turn influences institutional performance. Qualitative findings highlight the importance of participatory planning, digital transformation, and internal feedback mechanisms. The study aligns with global literature on leadership and quality, while offering localized insights from the Vietnamese context. It concludes that effective leadership is essential for integrating innovation, accountability, and sustainability into institutional strategies, and for achieving long-term quality goals
The effect of service transformation on customer satisfaction at PT PLN (Persero) distribution master unit of South Sumatra, Jambi, and Bengkulu
This study aims to analyse the effect of digital service transformation on customer satisfaction at PT PLN (Persero) South Sumatra, Jambi and Bengkulu Distribution Unit (UID S2JB). This transformation is realised through technology-based service innovations, such as the PLN Mobile application, which is designed to provide easy access, transparency, and responsiveness in services. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method through a questionnaire to 100 respondents who use the PLN Mobile application. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that digital service transformation has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.588 indicates that 58.8% of the variation in customer satisfaction can be explained by the digital service transformation variable. These findings reinforce the importance of digitalisation as a key strategy in improving service quality and customer satisfaction in the electricity sector
