    THE ROLE OF THE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL IN DEVELOPING A DIGITAL LITERACY-BASED READING CULTURE AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 093V BETARA KIRI

    The continuously evolving digital era demands digital literacy as a crucial skill that students must possess to access information and engage in independent learning. Therefore, school principals have a significant responsibility in developing students' digital literacy. This study aims to analyze the role of the school principal in fostering a reading culture based on digital literacy at SD Negeri 093/V Betara Kiri. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of the study include the principal, teachers, and students. The selection of subjects was conducted using purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis in this study used an interactive model, beginning with data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the principal plays a crucial role in enhancing digital literacy through training for teachers, providing offline digital learning resources, and developing technological infrastructure in collaboration with external parties. The principal also encourages digital-based learning programs and fosters collaboration between the school, parents, and the community to support the development of digital literacy outside the school. These findings indicate that innovative and collaborative leadership can help overcome infrastructure limitations and create a sustainable digital literacy culture in rural schools

    PEMANFAATAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN INTERAKTIF GENIALLY DALAM PEMAHAMAN KONSEP WAKTU

    This study aims to explore the effectiveness of interactive media, specifically Genially, in enhancing the understanding of time concepts among fourth-grade students with hearing impairments. The research was conducted in two phases: a pre-test and a post-test, over four learning sessions. This study uses a quantitative experimental method. The pre-test results indicated a low initial understanding of time concepts, with an average score of 40%, due to challenges in verbal communication, limited vocabulary, and difficulties in visualizing time-related concepts. After the intervention using Genially, which incorporates visual and interactive elements, the post-test results showed a significant improvement, with an average score of 86%. The students demonstrated a better ability to differentiate between different times of the day and relate daily activities to specific times. The visual and interactive learning tools like Genially can effectively support students with hearing impairments by providing engaging, multimedia-based content that enhances comprehension and retention. The study concludes that the appropriate use of technology in the form of interactive media can significantly improve learning outcomes for students with special needs, particularly in understanding abstract concepts such as time

    AI AND THE DISCOURSE OF QUR'ANIC INTERPRETATION: AN ANALYSIS OF QURAN-GPT RESPONSE TO GENDER VERSES FROM THE SEMIOTICS PERSPECTIVE OF ROLAND BARTHES

    The rapid development of technology has made the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based language models a new trend in answering all matters, especially those related to religion, including the interpretation of the Qur'an. This AI-based Qur'anic interpretation model can specifically be found in the Quran-GPT which offers a new way of accessing and understanding the Qur'anic text. This research explores how artificial intelligence, namely Quran-GPT developed by 9x Technology LLC, responds to gender-related Qur'anic verses that are still a sensitive issue today by using the application of Roland Barthes' semiotic theory, so that it will reveal the denotation, connotation, and mythical meanings of the meaning of gender verses that are classified as controversial. The purpose of this study is to analyze Quran-GPT's response to the understanding of gender verses in the Qur'an by using the application of Roland Barthes semiotics, then looking at the moral message and social context of gender verses interpreted by Quran-GPT, from here it will be seen whether the interpretation reflects gender bias, gender justice, or a neutral approach. The method used in this research is descriptive-analytic. The results show that there is a certain pattern in the interpretation of gender verses by Quran-GPT, where when explaining gender verses about the creation of men and women in QS. an-Nisā’ (4): 1 tends to contain gender bias, because Quran-GPT narrates that women are created from male parts. Meanwhile, regarding men as responsible for women in QS. an-Nisā’ (4): 34 and the permissibility of polygamy with strict conditions in QS. an-Nisā’ (4): 3, Quran-GPT shows a gender-equitable interpretation. By using Roland Barthes semiotics, the moral message is found that although Adam and Hawa were created from different species, both of them have bred men and women in this world, this also indicates that Allah has created humans with various kinds of offspring, tribes, nations, besides that Allah also allows a man to marry a woman he likes according to his limitations, but this permission must be under strict conditions and Allah gives men leadership status over women in the family as caretakers, responsible for, and protectors in the family. The interpretation of gender verses by Quran-GPT provides a broad and contextually relevant interpretive perspective, while demonstrating how AI technology can be used to support fairness and inclusivity in the interpretation of religious texts related to gender issues. However, the main challenge is to assess the accuracy and depth of the interpretation provided by AI, as although it is considered to prioritize context, the translation in Quran-GPT, especially related to gender verses, has significant shortcomings in terms of linguistics, depth of analysis, historical context, and sometimes even still accommodates quite conservative interpretations that contain gender bias. In addition, although Quran-GPT is used as a tool in understanding gender verses, it cannot replace the books of interpretation by scholars, therefore reading the translation of the Qur'an in Quran-GPT must be done with caution while still adhering to the teachings of Islam.     THE EFFECT OF A GAMIFIED PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING MODEL ON STUDENTS’ MOTIVATION AND CONCEPTUAL UNDERSTANDING IN PHYSICS

    This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model integrated with gamification on students’ learning motivation and conceptual understanding of physics, specifically in the topic of static fluids. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a non-equivalent control group design involving eleventh-grade students of MAN 2 Palembang. The instruments used in this study were a three-tier test to measure conceptual understanding and a Likert scale questionnaire to measure learning motivation. The results showed that the average pretest score of the experimental class was 2.75, which increased to 7.35 in the posttest, while the control class improved from 2.1 to 4.1 out of 10. The N-Gain calculation showed a score of 0.621 (moderate category) for the experimental class and 0.191 (low category) for the control class. The t-test (Welch’s Test) produced a p-value of 0.005 < 0.05, indicating a significant effect of implementing the PBL model integrated with gamification on students’ conceptual understanding. Students’ learning motivation in the experimental class also increased to an average of 80%, while the control class only reached 73%, with the Mann-Whitney U test indicating a significant difference between the two classes. Thus, the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model integrated with gamification has been proven to positively affect students’ learning motivation and conceptual understanding in physics

    EVALUATION OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF AN ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY CHEMISTRY PRACTICUM GUIDE BASED ON GUIDED INQUIRY: THE EVALUATION STAGE OF THE ADDIE MODEL

    Evaluation is the final stage of the ADDIE development model, playing an essential role in assessing the effectiveness of the developed learning media. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an environmentally friendly chemistry practicum guide based on guided inquiry, implemented with grade XI high school students. The assessment focused on three main aspects: learning outcomes, motivation, and students’ practicum activities. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design was employed, involving two classes: the experimental class using the developed practicum guide and the control class using a conventional handbook. Instruments included pretest-posttest, motivation questionnaires, and student activity observation sheets. The results revealed that the experimental class achieved higher learning gains with an N-gain score of 66.7%, compared to 41.1% in the control class. Moreover, students’ motivation in the experimental class reached 88.8, significantly higher than the control class (50.15). Practicum activities were also more active in the experimental class (89.8) than in the control class (73.4). These findings indicate that the guided inquiry-based chemistry practicum guide is effective in improving students’ learning outcomes, motivation, and practicum activities

    THE EFFECT OF HALAL CERTIFICATION, HALAL AWARENESS AND PRICE ON MUSLIM CONSUMER PURCHASE INTENTION IN MIXUE PRODUCTS

    This research aims to determine the effect of halal certification, halal awareness and price on consumer purchasing interest in Mixue products. This research uses a quantitative approach with a binary logistic regression method using primary data. The population in this study is the Muslim community in Malang aged 17-65 years who know or have consumed Mixue products. The sample was determined using a side purposive technique. The data collection method was carried out by distributing questionnaires which were measured using a Likert scale for the independent variable and a Guttman scale for the dependent variable. The results of the analysis show that when the number of halal certifications increases, consumer interest in buying Mixue will also increase. Then halal awareness is a very crucial variable to encourage an increase in interest in buying Mixue and when prices increase, consumers' demand to buy Mixue products will decrease. It is hoped that this research can become a reference for governments and industry players as evaluation material in increasing consumer buying interest in halal food and beverage products

    Indonesia adalah negara yang paling plural dalam hal agama, karena saat ini tercatat enam agama resmi dan setiap agama pun memiliki berbagai aliran. Agama Islam minsalnya terdapat berbagai macam praktik keagamaan yang berbada seperti ajaran tarekat dan ormas-ormas keagamaan yang masing-masing mempunyai interpretasi berbeda. Dalam tarekat terdapat pula dua jenis tarekat yaitu mu'tabarah dan ghairu mu'tabarah. Tarekat ghairu mu'tabarah salah satunya adalah tarekat Mufarridiyah yang pertama kali dikenalkan oleh seorang Syeikh Muhammad Makmun di Kabupaten Langkat, Sumatera Utara, Indonesia. Pertama kali tarekat ini ajarakan mendapat respon baik dimasyarakat sehingga berkembang diberbagai wilayah di Indonesia, salah satu ajarannya dikembangkan oleh bebrapa masyarakat di Desa Padang Jering Kecamatan Batang Asai. Munculnya ajaran ini ditempat tersebut mendapat respon yang beragam dimasyarakat, baik positif maupun negative. Hal ini dikarenakan selain kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat terhadap ajaran tarekat, adapula perbedaan kultur keagamaan yang berbeda dengan ajaran tarekat Mufarridiyah. Pengumpulan data artikel ini (Observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi). Kemudian data dianalisis untuk mendeskripsikan ajaran tarekat tersebut. Artike ini berkesimpulan. 1) Masyarakat terafiliasi dengan ajaran tarekat Mufarridiyah, karena mereka pergi belajar ke Kabupaten Langkat Sumatra Utara. 2) Amalan utaman tarekat Mufarridiyah membaca lafadz zikir "ALLAH, ALLAH, ALLAH", yang dikenalkan oleh Syeikh Muhammad Makmun setelah mendapat ilham didepan Ka'bah. 3) Ajaran Mufarridiyah mendapat pro dan kontrak dimasyarakat desa Padang Jering, dengan beberapa alasan seperti: (a) masyarakat pro beranggapan kegiatan jamaah banyak melakukan amar ma’ruf, (b) menolak beralasan mengapa hanya lafadz zikir “ALLAH” saja yang dianjurkan, (c) Masyarakat tidak peduli dan beranggapan memilih ajaran agama merupakan hak setiap oran

    This article aims to analyze Mohammad Hashim Kamali’s thoughts on the concept of moderation or wasatiyah in the Qur’an as an important principle in overcoming extremism and radicalism movements in the public sphere. This research uses qualitative research with a literature review approach. The data collection technique used in this research is documentation. The research data source focuses on Mohammad Hashim Kamali’s work entitled The Middle Path of Moderation in Islam: The Qur’anic Principle of Wasatiyah and other works related to studying Islamic moderation and its relationship with contemporary issues. This research focuses on the concept of moderation or wasatiyah and its characteristics based on sacred religious texts and Islamic doctrine. Next, there will be a discussion of the concept of moderation as a middle way in overcoming extremism, and the relationship between Islamic moderation and contemporary issues, such as the practice of justice, peace, and humanitarian rights. The results of this research show that the concept of wasatiyah in Mohammad Hashim Kamali’s view is not only at a conceptual level but also in a practical form by providing concrete examples of the life activities of Muslims which must be based on a moderate and balanced attitude

    Dinamika politik organisasi Nahdlatul Ulama Provinsi Riau mengalamai pergeseran dan sering tampil pandangan politik kebangsaan Pengurus Besar Nahdlatul Ulama. Mulai tahun 1998 sampai pada tahun 2023, pengurus dan warga nahdliyin mempunyai sikap politik yang mengikuti garis komando partai politik yang dihasilkan oleh produk PBNU yaitu PKB menuju kepada kebebasan masuk Partai Politik. Gelombang politik migrasi warga nahdiyin semakin terasa ketika kekalahan Abdurrahman Wahid atas Muhaimin Iskandar. Akibatnya, mereka berdiaspora dan masuk ke beragam partai politik baik yang berlatarbelakang agama maupun nasionalisme. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitataif deskriptif analistis.Sedangkan metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggabungkan antara Metode Perpustakaan dan Penelitian Lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa slogan Politik Nasionalisme sebagai ciri khas Nahdlatul Ulama mempunyai makna beragam dalam menterjemahkan dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor yaitu: Pertama, adanya liberalisasi Partai Politik yang mempunyai kebebasan merekrut anggota politik; kedua, lemahnya kaderisasi di tubuh Nahdlatul Ulama Provinsi Riau sehingga kurang memahami landasan Ideologi Partai Politik pada organisasinya. ketiga, muncul nya tokoh-tokoh agama lokal yang diakui secara nasional dan internasional seperti UAS yang menjadi idola baru dalam bidang politik dan agama. keempat, pengaruh media massa dan media online terhadap prespektif negatif para tokoh NU yang dianggap sebagai pemahaman agama yang bertentangan dengan Nahdlatul Ulama itu sendiri

    ANALISIS KETERKAITAN KETERAMPILAN MANAJEMEN KEPALA PROGRAM STUDI DENGAN KEPUASAN KERJA DOSEN DI PERGURUAN TINGGI KEAGAMAAN SWASTA JAMBI

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan adanya hubungan antara keterampilan manajemen dan kepuasan kerja tenaga pendidik di perguruan tinggi Islam swasta di Provinsi Jambi, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei, penelitian ini melibatkan seluruh tenaga pendidik (populasi 115 orang) dari perguruan tinggi tersebut sebagai sampel (total sampling). Hipotesis utama yang diajukan adalah keterampilan manajemen memiliki hubungan yang signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja tenaga pendidik. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan analisis Korelasi Product Moment Pearson dan regresi berganda pada taraf signifikansi 5% (α=0.05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang lebih baik antara keterampilan manajemen dengan kepuasan kerja. Hal ini didukung oleh hasil analisis di mana nilai t-hitung (7,227) lebih besar dari nilai t-tabel (1,6585), yang mengindikasikan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa keterampilan manajemen memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan kepuasan kerja tenaga pendidik
