    No full text
Introduction: Gastritis is a common gastrointestinal condition often associated with pain and discomfort. Exploring effective pain management strategies is crucial for enhancing the well-being of individuals affected by gastritis. This study investigates the potential effectiveness of progressive muscle relaxation therapy in alleviating pain among gastritis patients. Objective: This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of progressive muscle relaxation therapy in alleviating pain among patients diagnosed with gastritis. Methods: The research was conducted at BLUD RSU Banjar City from May 27 to May 31, 2022. The participant for this study was Mrs. I, a 62-year-old individual presenting complaints of pain in the left upper quadrant of the abdomen. Results: Findings from the case study indicated observable changes post-progressive muscle relaxation therapy. The patient exhibited signs of relaxation, and the pain scale, initially high, decreased to 4 within 2 days after the intervention. Further reduction to a pain scale of 2 was noted using the Numeric Rating Scale method. Conclusion: The study concludes that progressive muscle relaxation therapy exhibits promise in effectively reducing pain. Consequently, this therapeutic approach holds potential applicability in addressing acute pain issues among gastritis patients

The nursing problem that arises is damage to skin integrity related to surgical wounds which refers to the IDHS book. Interventions carried out to prevent signs of infection and complications are wound care with absorbent dressing techniques. During the intervention process, the action went smoothly until the evaluation. There is a change in the surgical wound improving, does not cause signs of infection and complications. So that the intervention has a positive impact on wound healing and has improved Conclusion: After the intervention of wound care with absorbent dressing technique, the surgical wound improved, did not cause signs of infection and complications, while the subjective data from the anamnesis, the client said the surgical wound had improved from the previous day

Introduction: Hypertension is a disease in which a person's blood pressure exceeds normal limits, namely systolic pressure which is above 140 mmHg and diastolic which is above 90mmHg. Exercise that is suitable for people who suffer from hypertension is low impact exercise because it is an exercise with light movements and can be done by anyone, from children to adults, even to the elderly. One of the aerobic exercise for hypertension is ergonomic exercise. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine The effect of ergonomic exercise on reducing blood pressure in hypertension sufferers. Method: The research design used is correlational quantitative with Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, with a total sample of 25 people. Result: Based on the results of the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test, it was obtained p = 0.000 where p <0.05, which means that there is an effect of ergonomic exercise on systolic and diastolic blood pressure in hypertension sufferers at Posyandu Brotojoyo, Tanjung Rejo Village, Sukun District, Working Area of the Janti Malang Health Center. Conclusion: Based on the results of the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test, p = 0.000, where p < 0.05, which means that there is an influence of ergonomic exercise on systolic and diastolic blood pressure in hypertension sufferers at Posyandu Brotojoyo, Tanjung Rejo Village, Sukun District, Janti Malang Health Center Working Area

    No full text
Introduction: Interventions necessary for patients experiencing Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) include revascularization through Coronary Artery Bypass or Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI). Vascular complications resulting from PCI procedures include hematoma, microvascular aneurysm, bleeding, edema, incision site pain, ecchymosis, embolism, arterial occlusion, arterial spasm, arteriovenous fistula, and retroperitoneal hematoma. Objective: To describe the nursing intervention outcomes using cold packs to address hematoma in post-PCI patients with femoral sheath access. Method: A qualitative study employing a case study approach conducted from March 23-25, 2023, at the Heart and Vascular Hospital Tasikmalaya. Inclusion criteria for participants include a diagnosis of Coronary Artery Disease (CAD), prior PCI intervention, PCI access via femoral sheath, and willingness to provide informed consent. The intervention involves the application of a cold pack. Research instruments utilized in this study include semi-structured interviews (in-depth interviews) and observations using The Femoral Scale. Result: The use of cold packs to address hematoma in post-PCI patients with femoral sheath access is effective. This is evidenced by the absence of hematoma in post-PCI patients with femoral access after applying mechanical pressure with a cold pack. During the observation, patients did not express significant complaints; they reported greater comfort using a cold pack compared to the conventional sandbag approach. Conclusion: The utilization of cold packs in this case can be considered an alternative to sandbags to enhance patient comfort. However, it is imperative to conduct additional monitoring when removing the cold pack, especially during the 6-hour immobilization period, to ensure patient awareness and compliance with immobilization protocols

Method: This research design uses the Quasy experimental method with pretest and posttest. This research design takes the form of a non-equivalent control group design. The research subjects were 30 postpartum mothers at the Khasanah Clinic, Panumbangan District, Ciamis Regency. This research instrument uses a questionnaire to determine the knowledge of postpartum mothers. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Test to see the effect of E-FAS on increasing the knowledge of postpartum mothers. Result: the results of statistical analysis with an average ranking value of 10.50 while the number of positive rankings or sum of rank was 210. There were 10 people with the same score before being given E FAS and after being given E FAS. The Wilcoxon test obtained a p value of 0.000 (<0.005) so it can be concluded that there is an influence of E FAS on the knowledge of postpartum mothers at the Khasanah Clinic, Panumbangan District. Conclusion: E-FAS can be used as a medium for health information, especially in midwifery care after childbirth and breastfeeding
