Forfeiture, historically relegated to a secondary role, has evolved into a key instrument in the political‐criminal strategy against crime, particularly economic crime. Its regulation has undergone a progressive expansion at both national and international levels, aiming to prevent crime from being profitable. In Spain, legislative reforms have broadened its scope, sparking intense debate regarding its legal nature and constitutional limits. This study examines its historical evolution and current legal framework, with a particular focus on extended forfeiture, to determine whether its normative and jurisprudential development tends toward autonomous models such as «extinción de dominio

The way in which Africa currently defines itself has changed substantially since the early years of independence. African societies are consolidating thanks to a greater awareness of citizenship brought about by a self-inscription of identity that is gradually overcoming the ideological resources, obstacles of a psychosocial nature, imposed on the structures built by colonial violence. The mechanisms of globalisation are increasingly permeating African spaces with disruptive content, contributing to a political crisis that is permeating the entire continent. The narratives of independence hijacked by local elites are being called into question, while a symbolic recovery of identity is taking place based on religious, ethnic and cultural resources. At the same time, there is an increase in intellectual role models and an increasingly capable, solid and influential African academia. This research project is part of this challenging effort of redefinition, of raising awareness and of constructive projection of the future by the Global South. It aims to take advantage of precious elements of indigenous African roots in dialogue with Western perspectives, to offer light in this task, putting the recognition of the people and the peoples of Africa first. From the perspective of a measure of humanity that is equal to our turbulent times, moral bases are proposed for constructing a decolonial African identity based on moral philosophy and critical hermeneutics: the lowest place, the perspective of the victims, ubuntuist cordiality, political resistance to submission and to the new forms of slavery, creativity born of the humble and unconditional acceptance of who one is, one's and the inheritance received, are elements that are brought into play in the search for a fulfilment in humanity that can speak in the global world in which life projects are realised. The critical analysis of the dimensions of violence and radical pluralism provide the most original keys.Programa de Doctorat en Ètica i Democràci
Block-based single-pixel imaging by means of the Talbot effect
Block-based single-pixel imaging (SPI) systems use multiple detectors of a focal plane array to create highly parallel extensions of a single-pixel camera. This Letter presents what we believe to be a new approach for parallel single-pixel imaging that leverages the Talbot effect to scan an object with a short sequence of periodic light patterns encoded on a digital micromirror device (DMD). The unit cell of each periodic pattern corresponds to a Walsh–Hadamard (WH) matrix of low dimension. To separately collect the light from each unit cell, we implement an array of bucket detectors using multiple pixels of a conventional camera. The object image is then reconstructed by applying parallel single-pixel imaging algorithms. Our system improves spatial resolution and the frame rate while eliminating the need for optical elements between the DMD and the object. Simulations and experiments with two optical setups are presented and analyzed
Development of Thin Film Layers for Solar Cells through Advanced Deposition Methods
Doctorat internacionalThis doctoral thesis explores the development of thin-film layers for photovoltaic devices using advanced deposition techniques. It encompasses three different chapters. The first work advanced NiOx thin-film development using spatial atomic layer deposition (SALD) using a novel precursor. The second project focused on antimony chalcogenides, particularly Sb₂Se₃. A two-step synthesis combining electroplating and selenization was used to fabricate the first Sb₂Se₃-based devices on ceramic substrates. To overcome limitations in device fabrication methods at laboratory scale, in the third chapter a low-temperature, non-vacuum metal deposition process was developed, enabling functional devices without high-vacuum equipment. This thesis bridges fundamental research and application, contributing new methods for scalable, efficient, and integration-ready solar technologies.Programa de Doctorat en Cièncie
Homogenous catalysis by molybdenum sulfide clusters and the study of their sulfur-centered mechanisms
Doctorat internacionalThe present doctoral thesis is included within the homogenous catalysis field. A comprehensive study has been conducted on the catalytic activity of molybdenum sulfide cluster compounds coordinated with nitrogen-donor ligands. First, the synthesis of a novel compound containing the ethylenediamine ligand was optimized and characterized using classical spectrometric and spectroscopic techniques. Additionally, the crystalline structure of this complex was determined through single-crystal analysis using electron diffraction techniques. The catalytic activity of molybdenum clusters with the Mo3S4 unit was investigated in C–C coupling reactions for the production of esters, sulfoxide hydrogenation to obtain sulfides, and the methanolysis of hydrosilanes for the synthesis of methoxysilanes and hydrogen. Kinetic studies and control experiments demonstrated that these transformations occur via sulfur atoms, enabling an in-depth investigation of the reaction mechanisms. Finally, using DFT techniques, the reaction mechanisms for sulfoxide hydrogenation and methanolysis were elucidated based on experimental evidence obtained.Programa de Doctorat en Cièncie
Marketing Plan of Camins Centro de Psicologia
Treball Final de Grau en Administració d'Empreses. Codi: AE1049. Curs 2024/2025Psicología Camins is a psychological care center located in the center of the city of Castellón and specializes in offering psychology and speech therapy services to all ages. Through its philosophy focused on close and professional accompaniment, its value proposition is based on the commitment, specialization and closeness of each person who makes up this company, allowing it to offer an intervention adjusted to the specific needs of each person.
The current social context presents a sustained growth in the demand for psychological services, motivated by the increase in awareness of mental health and crisis situations such as the last pandemic. This scenario is a great opportunity for centres such as Camins, as it has a varied range of services adapted to each person. In addition, at the territorial level, a significant need for psychological care has been detected in rural areas of the interior of Castellón, where the supply of professionals is scarce and in many areas non-existent, which has led the center to consider taking psychology to regions at risk of depopulation. Among the threats, the growing competition in the sector and the constant need for professional updating are identified, which implies high costs in training and continuous improvement.
Camins has also detected significant shortcomings in access to mental health in rural environments, so the company proposes a series of objectives, such as opening up a market in five towns in the region, increasing the number of services by 20% compared to the previous period, which will be carried out through actions such as the organisation of free presentation days in the target villages.
Among the most relevant strengths of the company is its strategic location in the city center and its team of highly qualified professionals with extensive experience in the sector. As a weakness, the limitation of current human resources is pointed out, which can make it difficult to meet new demands if the team is not reinforced. Camins establishes as strategic priority objectives to open the market in at least five towns in the Alto Mijares region during the first year of this territorial expansion, improve the loyalty of current customers through complementary services such as discounted session vouchers and post-service follow-ups. Another goal is to achieve a customer satisfaction level of 85%, measured through post-session assessment questionnaires, and to expand the team by hiring a new psychologist.
To achieve these objectives, Camins will apply various strategies, the market penetration strategy (Ansoff) will be focused on increasing the contracting of services within the current market, the market expansion strategy is aimed at bringing Camins services to the inland regions of Castellón, starting with the Alto Mijares area. A differentiation strategy will also be carried out, based on offering additional valuable services, such as follow-up and personalized attention reinforcing the customer experience and a niche strategy focused mainly on the elderly in rural populations.
All these strategies will take the form of a series of actions organised into three axes: service, price and communication. In terms of service, actions have been designed such as the design of a quality questionnaire to measure customer satisfaction, post-service follow-up and the hiring of a new psychologist have also been implemented. As for the price, actions have been carried out such as the creation of vouchers for discounted sessions and promotions for loyalty or recommendation. And in terms of communication actions, the website has been redesigned, in addition to energizing the company's social networks and free conferences have been organized in the target towns to publicize the services and generate confidence in the new areas of action
Inclusive Research for an Inclusive University: Analysing the Investiguem Programme Experience
Background
An increasing number of Spanish universities have been promoting post-compulsory education for the social and occupational inclusion of young people with intellectual, developmental and/or autism spectrum disabilities. In this study, we critically analysed Investiguem, an inclusive research training programme developed at a Spanish university. This analysis was driven by a twofold aim: to assess the impact of the programme as a transformative endeavour for participants and to analyse the tension-related effects of the programme on university research cultures, policies and practices.
Methods
Methodologically, this study was a programme evaluation.
Findings
The results revealed substantial changes in participating students in terms of the personal, social and research competencies that they acquired. They also became empowered, gained self-determination, actively participated in all phases of research and developed greater independence and autonomy. Researchers involved in the programme reported changes in the questioning of their roles and positioning as researchers, the ethics and usefulness of research, accessibility and trust in young individuals.
Conclusions
The findings provide practical implications based on a counter-hegemonic model of inclusive research uncovered elements that put a strain on research cultures, practices and policies to improve them.Funding for open access charge: CRUE-Universitat Jaume
Synthesis and biological evaluation of new cis-restricted triazole analogues of combretastatin A-4
The natural products combretastatins A-1 and A-4 are potent antimitotic and vascular-disrupting agents through their binding at the colchicine site in tubulin. However, these compounds suffer from a low water solubility and a tendency to isomerize to the inactive trans stilbenes. In this study, we have prepared a series of 18 cis-restricted triazole analogues of combretastatin A-4 (CA-4), maintaining, in all cases, the 3,4,5-trimethoxy phenyl ring A, with the aim of investigating the substitution pattern on the B-ring in a systematic way. To this end, cytotoxic activities of the cis-restricted analogues of CA-4 prepared were determined in two tumor cell lines, namely, HT-29 and A-549, as well as in the non-tumor cell line HEK-293, to pre-evaluate the selectivity profile of the compounds for the tumor cell lines. The main conclusion was the essential presence of methoxyl or ethoxyl groups at the para position of the B-ring in order to obtain good antitumor activities. Thus, the more active compounds in our study displayed IC50 values in the nanomolar range for the tumor cell lines but not for the normal cells. Consequently, these triazole analogues of CA-4 could serve as promising alternatives to the natural product, although further studies about their biological activity are essential in order to fully determine their viability as therapeutic agents in the treatment of cancer
