These collegesdeliver the widest range of provision types andtherefore are subjected to the most complexity.If we get more colleges interested in participating thanwe have space for, we will select colleges based on:previous engagement with the department todevelop and deliver the government’s policies andpriorities, such as apprenticeships and bootcampswhat the college will aim to gain from participating inthe pilot and what they can bring to the pilotcolleges with a good financial health, with nosignificant concerns raised in any recent Departmentfor Education or ESFA audits and no current, orrecent investigations underwaycolleges that deliver a reasonable proportion of bothapprenticeships and adult skills provision tosufficiently test the pilot changestheir geographical location across EnglandIn assessing applications for the pilot, we will focus onanswers to the first 2 questions on prior engagementwith the department and what the college will gain from,and bring to, the pilot.We will work closely with colleges during the pilot torun and evaluate our proposals.The proposals in the pilot will not impact funding thatcolleges receive from authorities with devolution dealsfor adult skills funding. School Funding and Pupil Premium 2024Methodology noteNFER surveyed teachers across England in March 2024 using their ‘Teacher Voice Omnibus’ survey. A panel of 1,282 practising teachers from 1,093 schools in the publicly funded sector in Englandcompleted the survey. Teachers completed the survey online during the period 8th to 13th March 2024. The panel is representative of teachers from the full rangeof roles in primary and secondary schools, from headteachers to class teachers. Out of the respondents 647 (50.4%) were teaching in primary schools and635 (49.5%) were teaching in secondary schools.
