The Concept of ‘Fundamental Adult Competency’: In Light of the Lowering of the Age of Majority to 18
With the reduction of the legal voting age for national referendums and public elections to 18, the age of
majority in the Civil Code was also lowered from 20 to 18. Young adults aged 18 and 19 were legally
empowered to enter into contracts independently. However, this change also exposes them to the potential
risks of debt and financial liability. Recognizing that many young adults may lack adequate legal knowledge,
the concept of “Fundamental Adult Competency” was introduced as a framework for educating them. This
framework provides essential knowledge about the nature of contracts and emphasizes basic obligations that
come with full social and economic membership in civil society. This paper examines the implications and
importance of this “Fundamental Adult Competency” approach.departmental bulletin pape
NHK ラジオ番組『幼児の時間』「リズム遊び」(あそびましょう) における中田喜直・小林純一の共作(2) ─ オノマトペを軸とした楽曲分析を中心に ─
Of the 50 songs that Nakada (composer) and Kobayashi (poet) wrote together for the NHK radio program
“ASOBIMASHŌ,” 22 were performed again on the program. These can be regarded as works that were
highly valued by them, or works that were well received by listeners after their first broadcast.
In this paper, I focused on these re-performed songs and analyzed them, focusing mainly on
onomatopoeia. As a result, it became clear that the three musical features ( 1) Dynamics marks emphasize
onomatopoeia. 2) The most high-pitched tone of the melody is set on onomatopoeia. 3) Articulation (staccato
and accent in particular) is added to onomatopoeia.) of Nakada and Kobayashi’s works that I found in my
previous research were consistent with the results of this analysis.
One of the new features I found in the re-performed songs is the extensive use of a writing style that
imitates “WARABEUTA (Japanese children’s (folk) song),” a traditional Japanese musical scale. Although their
collaborative works with the WARABEUTA style of writing were relatively popular and accepted by
listeners at the time of the broadcast, they are rarely sung today (although the original WARABEUTA is still
widely used in contemporary Japanese childcare settings). This is instructive in considering the transition in
the acceptance of children’s songs in Japan from the postwar period to the present.departmental bulletin pape
幼児期における「見立て」行為の検討 ─ ごっこ遊びの中では、どのように「見立て」が行われているのか? ─
This study revisits “looking” as a manifestation of symbolic function in early childhood. One of the main
components of pretend play is “seeing things as they are. This has conventionally been described and
discussed as “seeing A as B and making use of it. On the other hand, it is frequently observed in early
childhood that “A is seen as B” due to the unintentional activation of the symbolic function by the individual.
Based on these facts, the concept of seeing as the action of the symbolic function that occurs unintentionally
was defined as “first seeing,” and the concept of seeing as “seeing A as B and utilizing it,” which has been
described as “second seeing. Then, while using this concept, we discussed it in light of children observed in
kindergartens, with the aim of capturing the inner reality of “seeing” as children do in their play. As a result,
we confirmed the complex interaction between the first and second look-ahead in play.departmental bulletin pape
身体の動きが不器用な幼児への保育に関する実態調査
The purpose of this study is to clarify the image of clumsy children as perceived by nursery school
nurses as Study 1, and to grasp the actual conditions of childcare, such as considerations and innovations for
such children, by means of a questionnaire survey. Study 2 is to conduct interviews with nursery school
nurses with various years of experience to clarify the actual situation in depth, including more detailed
considerations and practices that cannot be covered in Study 1. The results showed that when considering
support for children's clumsiness, childcare workers gave consideration to the emotional aspects of children
arising from clumsiness. Specifically, they were concerned about preventing a decline in self-esteem and about
the child's resistance to physical movement. In addition, they shared information with fellow childcare
workers and parents to provide support.departmental bulletin pape
Research on Full-Time School Counselors
The questionnaire survey was conducted on full-time SCs to clarify the job content and challenges they
face. The subjects of the survey were 19 full-time SCs (8 from public schools and 11 from private schools).
The survey period was from August 2018 to June 2019. When the survey results were analyzed using KJ, the
following became clear. The elements necessary for a full-time SC were “expertise,” “objectivity,” “uniqueness,”
“the ability to assess the situation,” “human relations skills,” and “coordination skills.” It was also shown that it
is important to have a “clear desire” and to have “a core within yourself.”. Additionally, the advantages of
being a full-time SC are that they are routine, immediate, and can respond quickly, and that they are able to
work closely with other faculty members due to their strong collegiality. Furthermore, through school affairs
and events, students can experience the daily lives of children. On the other hand, the conflicts that full-time
SCs face have also become clear. In order to establish the full-time SC system, it was suggested that in
addition to stabilizing salaries and enhancing training systems, it is important to build a scheme throughout
the region.departmental bulletin pape
