Prototyping and Evaluation of a Gate-bar Type Safety Device to Prevent Falls from Station Platforms

駅ホームからの転落事故は、ホームドアを設置することで防止できるが、ドア位置の相違や高額な設置費用などの課題があり、閑散線区ではホームドアの設置が進んでいない。また、これらの課題を解決するための簡易的な転落防止装置の開発も不十分である。そこで本研究では、軽量化が期待される遮断桿に着目し、左右から開閉する高さの異なる2本の遮断桿を特徴とする腕木式転落防止装置を試作した。利用者による定量的評価を実施した結果、本装置は駅ホームからの転落事故を防ぐのに十分であるとの認識が示唆された。Accidents involving falls from station platforms can be prevented by installing platform doors. However, challenges such as differences in door positions and the high installation cost have hindered the adoption of platform doors, particularly in sparsely used railway lines. Additionally, the development of simple fall prevention devices to address these challenges has been insufficient. In this study, we focused on gate bars, which are expected to be lightweight, and developed a prototype of a gate-bar typed safety device characterized by two intercepting rods of different heights that open and close from the left and right. Developments and current status of sports law policies related to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games

本研究は、2020東京大会に関連するスポーツ法政策を概観し、大会後の検討課題を整理した。その結果、 知的財産の点からアスリートの肖像権、心身の負担、SNS による誹謗中傷等の課題に対する法的措置の検討 が課題として示唆された。スポーツ政策の視点から、第 3 期スポーツ基本計画の進捗状況による国際競技力 の持続的な向上に向けた予算、支援体制の構築、国民のスポーツ実施率向上に向けた課題が示された。2020 東京大会後の名古屋市スポーツ推進計画は、アスリート支援、市民のスポーツ振興に向けた取組が実施され るため、政策の事前、事後の適切な評価指標、評価方法の検討が必要であろう。This study outlined sports law policies related to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games and summarized the issues to be considered after the Games. As a result, it was suggested that issues include the consideration of legal measures against issues such as athletes' portrait rights, mental and physical burden, and slander on social media from the perspective of intellectual property. From the perspective of sports policy, issues were identified regarding the budget and support system for the sustainable improvement of international competitiveness based on the progress of the Third Sport Basic Plan, and the improvement of the rate of sports participation among citizens. Status of Internship Participation and Its Effectiveness Fact-Finding Survey of Students at Kyoei University

日本のインターンシップは、この10年で企業の実施率、学生の参加率、参加社数共に増加の一途をたどり、「教育」目的から「就職・採用」目的へと変わりつつある。企業のインターンシップに参加した共栄大学の学生に調査を行ったところ、半日、または1日のオンラインへの参加率が高いが、参加した満足度や参加企業に対する志望度は、オンラインより対面が、所要時間が短いより長い方がそれぞれ高いこと、プログラムの内容としては説明を受ける講義形式より何らかの体験があった方が高いという結果が得られた。また、対面形式に参加した社数が多い学生ほど「キャリアの焦点化」や「就労意欲」が高まるという効果があるが、就職活動に不安を覚える学生ほど対面形式インターンシップを避ける傾向があることが明らかとなった。A survey of Kyoei University students who participated in corporate internships revealed that many of them participated in half-day or one-day online internships. However, satisfaction with participation and expectations of participating companies were higher for the face-to-face format than for the online format, for the longer duration than for the shorter duration, and for the hands-on experience than for the lecture format. The results also showed that students who participated in more face-to-face internships were more likely to avoid face-to-face internships than those who were anxious about the job search, although the number of face-to-face internships increased their "career focus" and "desire to work".departmental bulletin pape

幼児期からのキャリア教育の試み －大学におけるゼミナールでのカルタ制作より－

A大学教育学部のゼミナールで幼児のための「カルタ制作」を行った。本研究の目的は、キャリア教育をテーマとしたカルタ制作の過程を検証し、大学のゼミナール、すなわち、卒業研究の過程で得られた知見を活かす保育活動材（教材）の作成の意義について考察することである。履修者達は「幼児理解」と「言葉や絵で表現して幼児に分かりやすく伝えるには」について実践的な学びを体験し多くの気づきを得ただけではなく、履修者全員で一つの作品制作に取り組むことにより、各自が追求するテーマの探究活動やゼミ仲間との意見交換の過程で醸成された気づき、すなわち敏感になった感性を活かしたカルタ制作ができたことに大学のゼミナールで行う保育活動材（教材）制作の意義が見いだせるのではないかと考えられる。departmental bulletin pape

A Study of Teacher Expertise Development in English Language Teaching using DeepL and ChatGPT

近年、生成 AI や機械翻訳技術の急速な進展に伴い、新しいテクノロジーを教育現場でどのように活用すべきか検討が進んでいる。本研究では、外国語教育における機械翻訳ツールおよび生成 AI の活用事例と先行研究を概観し、英語教育において、これらのツールを導入する際の課題と実際の指導に必要となるスキルについて考察することを目的とする。仕事の熟達化研究におけるテクニカルスキル、ヒューマンスキル、コンセプチュアルスキルの概念をもとに、DeepLやChatGPTを活用する際に必要となるスキルについて検討を行い、新たなスキルの獲得ではなく、既有のスキルを新たな文脈に応用する視点が重要となることを確認した。また、これらのスキルを効果的に育成するための取り組みとして、教師自らが指導経験を内省することや学校内で他の教師と協同することの重要性についても考察を行った。Recently, the rapid advancement of generative AI and machine translation technologies has raised critical questions about their effective integration into educational contexts. The present study aims to discuss the challenges encountered in English education using machine translation tools and generative AI and the skills necessary for effective instructional implementation by reviewing the previous research. Additionally, the present study draws on concepts from expertise research, particularly technical, human, and conceptual skills, to outline the skills teachers need when integrating DeepL and ChatGPT into English classes. Instead of focusing solely on acquiring new skills, the present study highlights the importance of applying existing skills gained through past experiences to new educational contexts. An Analysis of the Causes of the Global Retreat of Democracy: Primarily Referring to the Works of Drucker, Fukuyama, and Deneen

近時、世界での民主主義の減少と権威主義の増加が言われており、それを裏付ける調査報告もある。ある 報告は、民主主義の後退は 2010 年前後に始まり、西側世界の自由民主主義の後退が目立つとする。著者は、 その原因は西側社会に生じた分断にあると考える。ドラッカーの『経済人の終わり』も、フクヤマの『リベ ラリズムへの不満』等の著作やデニーンの『リベラリズムはなぜ失敗したのか』も、そのことを指摘する。 社会に分断が生じたとき、現在の代表制民主主義はその構造から自分では分断を修復できない。恐らく民主 主義は社会に分断がないとき初めて機能するものであり、西側社会のこれ以上の分断を食い止める手段が講 じられなければならない。There is increasing discussion about the global decline of democracy and the rise of authoritarianism, supported by various survey reports. One such report suggests that this decline began around 2010, especially in Western liberal democracies. The author attributes the trend to growing divisions within Western societies. Peter Drucker’s The End of Economic Man, Francis Fukuyama’s Liberalism and Its Discontents and several of his other works, and Patrick Deneen’s Why Liberalism Failed also highlight this issue. When societies become divided, current representative democracy is structurally unable to heal these divisions on its own. Characteristics of the episodes of teaching in ball game in elementary school physical education : For first and sixth grade students

本研究は、ボール運動系領域における1 年生と6 年生の体育授業を対象に、単元を通じて体育授業場面を捉え、各学年の体育授業の特徴を把握することを目的とした。1年生99名、6年生91名を対象に、各学年6時間単元のボール運動系領域の体育授業を撮影した。映像を体育授業場面の期間記録法を用いて観察・記録した。その結果、1年生の体育授業は、マネジメント場面と学習指導場面の割合が高く、運動学習場面の時間量が少ないことが特徴として見出された。他方、6 年生の体育授業は、移動や準備・片付けなどの活動であるマネジメント場面は単元を通じて20% 未満となり、運動学習場面はおおよそ半分の割合を占めていることが特徴であった。The purpose of this study was to capture the episodes of teaching throughout the unit and to understand the characteristics of physical education classes of first and sixth graders in ball game. 99 first grade students and 91 sixth grade students were included in the study. A 6-hour unit of ball game physical education class were recorded for each grade level. The videos were observed and recorded using the episodes of teaching The results showed that first grade physical education classes were characterized by a high percentage of learning instruction episodes and management episodes and a low percentage of learning episodes. Deciding Factor Analysis of Revenue Based on the Management Conditions of Private Elderly Care Homes

本研究では、埼玉県内の有料老人ホームの経営状況に基づき、有料老人ホームの売上高に影響を及ぼす要因を明らかにした。研究の結果、その要因は合計利用者数、居室数、入居一時金の初期償却率、看護職員数、介護職員数である可能性が示唆された。したがって、有料老人ホーム事業者は売上高向上を目指す戦略を立案する際には、経済的変数や環境的変数だけでなく、看護・介護体制の充実度も考慮する必要がある。In this study, based on the management status of private elderly care homes in Saitama Prefecture, the factors that affect the amount of sales in private elderly care homes are clarified. The results indicated that the number of private elderly care home recipients, the number of rooms, the initial amortization rate for entry fee, the number of nursing care staffs and careworkers in which private elderly care homes may be one of the factors. Therefore, when strategies for securing increase the amount of sales are planned, the entrepreneur involved in not only the economic and environmental variables, but also variables regarding the enhancement level of the nursing care system and improvements in the treatment of the nursing care staff, and relevant factors.departmental bulletin pape

Capturing the amount of physical activity in young children's physical play using the developed picture book : For 4-year-old and 5-year-old class

本研究の目的は、女の子が森にワープし、動物たちと運動遊びで遊ぶ、運動遊びに関する絵本を開発し、その絵本を活用した一斉保育における運動遊びの身体活動量を把握することであった。4歳児クラス21名、5歳児クラス17名に対して各担任保育士が、開発した絵本を用いて運動遊びを実践し、幼児の身体活動量を測定した。4歳児クラスの歩数は1160.7±376.4歩、MVPAは9分17秒±3分17秒、5歳児クラスの歩数は1633.1±396.2歩、MVPAは12分25秒±4分33秒であった。性差は認められなかった。開発した絵本を用いた一斉保育の運動遊び実践は、性に関わらず、全ての幼児の身体活動量の確保に寄与すると考えられた。The aim of the study was to develop the picture book on physical play and to capture the amount of physical activity in physical play that used the developed picture book. The subjects were 21 middle-aged children and 17 older children. A nursery teacher in each class instructed the children in physical play using the picture book. And physical activity of the young children was measured. The number of steps taken by the middle-year class was 1160.7 ± 376.4 steps and the MVPA was 9 min 17 sec ± 3 min 17 sec, while the number of steps taken by the older class was 1633.1 ± 396.2 steps and the MVPA was 12 min 25 sec ± 4 min 33 sec.
