The “green wave” in the EU twittersphere during the may 2019 election campaign
This paper addresses the impact of the increased attention to climate issues as expressed in civil society mobilisations in the winter and spring 2019 in the hashtags that were used to discuss the 2019 European Parliament campaign in Twitter. The paper combines quantitative and qualitative methods–network analysis and hashtag framing analysis–to analyse the emergence and circulation of climate-related hashtags in the 120.000 tweets collected during the campaign. The results indicate that environment-related tweets are much more transnational albeit being decentralised than any other subjects, confirming the success of Green activism in Twitter and their ability to impact election agendas. This contrasts with the limited impact of institutional campaigns and suggests that transnational issues can compete for attention with polity contestation issues (Brexit, voting denial). Our results support ideas that Twitter debates can contribute to the policy-centred rather than polity contestation debates, although they also must be interpreted against the background of the exceptional electoral context of 2019The work was supported by the European Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency.

general que recogiese un balance de su figura y su impronta personal y filosóficaThe study of the life and work of Francisco de Paula Canalejas constituted a pending
challenge both at the epistemological and philosophical level due to the expectation of the
contributions he could offer to the understanding of Spanish Krausism, in particular, and of
philosophical thought and the Spanish socio-political and cultural reality of the 19th century,
in general. This impression had been expressed by several critics for a long time, but the
research on Canalejas had not yet materialized in an extensive, specific and rigorous work.
The main results of the research have settle on a complete biography, revised and
documented based on historiographic and newspaper data; a detailed summary of all his
writings, both books and articles; a critical analysis of his thought applied to the different
facets of his public and intellectual life (law, aesthetics and literature, press, politics and
philosophy); and, finally, a series of conclusions and challenges related to the understanding
of Canalejas' contribution and its place in the so-called Spanish krausism.
The thesis is divided into eight sections that can be grouped into four blocks. The first
block is dedicated to the more technical, bibliographical and documentary information of the
research.
The next block is identified with the chapter dedicated to the biography of Francisco de
Paula Canalejas. For this purpose, the chapter has been subdivided into specific and detailed
sections on six notable stages in his biography.
The third section is a summary and analysis of the author's work, both in the form of
books and articles, classified by subject.and chronologically.
As a synthesis, a last block divided into two parts offers a more specific evaluation of the
contribution of Canalejas in the main areas of his thought (legal, aesthetic, literary, press,
political and philosophical) and of his public life, and a general conclusion that includes a
balance of his figure and also his personal and philosophical imprin
Por lo demás, aportaremos las observaciones críticas o complementaciones teóricas que cabrá proponer cara a lo que todo ello supone respecto de la consideración tanto sistemática y argumental como poética o coreográfica del cuerpo como concepto a la luz de la filosofía romántica históricaThe research carried out in this thesis aims to elucidate the precise meanings of the crisis that the concept of "body", in its theoretical and practical use, had to undergo during what can be considered the romantic moment of modern European philosophy, with a clear German protagonism. By this "moment" we will understand the span of intellectual, artistic and especially poetic activity, self-recognized as such, which unfolds in an ambiguous but undeniable way from the culmination of Sturm und Drang in the so-called Weimar Classicism and the youthful reception of Kant's late philosophical work in general, and his Kritik der Urteilskraft in particular, of which Schiller's Kallias (1793) is already iconic, to the end of the 19th century, with particular attention to works that essentially address those same concerns, as is certainly the case with Nietzsche's Genealogy of Morals (1887).
Our main hypothesis is that Schiller's postulation of the body as language (Sprache) will entail a series of ontological and, above all, aesthetic modulations that will coherently explain the bodily metaphysics of philosophical romanticism as a reworking of idealism in a sentimental, spiritual, monistic, and mystical sense. To this end, we have brought together the poetologies of Schiller, Schlegel, Novalis and Hölderlin with the natural philosophies (Naturphilosophie) of Schelling, Hegel, and Goethe, examining their shared intellectual or artistic achievements most relevant to this end. The obvious difficulties of a project that undertakes such breadth are deemed acceptable to the extent that, we say, this research is primarily concerned with the use of the concept of "body" in necessarily ontological but specifically aesthetic terms, and within a well-defined cluster of authors and texts.
This journey will allow us to shed light, on the one hand, on the extent to which the somatology of philosophical romanticism, in a broad sense, inherits and continues previous intellectual traditions, be it Christian theology, Spinozist pantheism, or Enlightenment subjectivism. On the other hand, it will reveal how much of it is revolutionary and innovative, paving the way for a reconsideration of late-modern or post-modern philosophy in historicist, vitalist, and phenomenological terms. Furthermore, we will provide critical observations or theoretical complements to propose in the context of what all this implies for the systematic, argumentative, poetic, and choreographic consideration of the body as a concept in light of historical romantic philosoph

The impact of rubrics and scripts on self-regulation, self-efficacy and performance in collaborative problem-solving tasks
Rubrics and scripts are tools that can promote self-assessment. Although similar, rubrics and scripts differ in the metacognitive processes they support, their cognitive demands, how students use them and their focus. While there is ample evidence of the positive effects of rubrics, there is less research on the impact of scripts and their use in collaborative tasks. We aimed to compare the effects of rubrics and scripts on self-regulation, self-efficacy, academic performance and students’ perceptions when used in group tasks on econometrics. A total of 134 university students participated in a quasi-experiment under three conditions (rubrics, scripts, control). Positive effects on self-regulation were found for the experimental groups, and a positive impact on self-efficacy only for the rubric group. Additionally, as previous academic performance differed among conditions, difference-in-differences analysis was employed. In the rubric condition, the students that started from very high levels of academic achievement benefited more from using the rubric. In contrast, in the script condition, it was the students with intermediate or high levels of academic performance who experienced the greatest benefits from employing the scriptUniversidad Autónoma de Madrid, Call Teaching Innovation Projects 2017/18, Reference number CEE_018.17_ IMP. The effect of the relative size of the exciton reservoir on polariton photophysics
Strong interactions between excitons and photons lead to the formation of exciton-polaritons, which possess different properties compared to their constituents. Polaritons are created by incorporating a dye in an optical cavity where the electromagnetic field is tightly confined. The interest in the subject has exploded in recent years due to the ability to change (photo)chemistry, but still as simple a variable as the yield of emission varies between studies. For the field to progress, linking observables to system parameters is a dire need. Here, the study pairs emission yield to the size of the so-called exciton reservoir, which dictates polariton relaxation dynamics. To do this, a method is devised to experimentally control the relative size of the exciton reservoir and link it to the yield of emission. Thus, the results enable comparison of the photophysics of previous studies within the field and provide the tools to study the effect of the exciton reservoir on polariton photochemistryK.B. gratefully acknowledges the financial support from the Swedish Re-search Council (2020-03578) and the European Research Council (ERC-2017-StG-757733). Impact of psychiatric disorders on the risk of diabetic ketoacidosis in adults with type 1 diabetes mellitus: A propensity score matching case-control study
Purpose This study aims to evaluate the association between psychiatric disorders and diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) in patients with type 1 diabetes (T1D) treated at a tertiary care hospital. 1234567890();,: 1234567890();,: Methods A propensity score-matched case-control study was conducted, comprising a total sample of 194 participants (97 DKA cases and 97 controls without DKA). Comprehensive data were collected on clinical, anthropometric, and socioeconomic characteristics, and psychiatric disorders were classified according to international standards. Results The mean age of the participants was 47.4±17.7 years, with 55.6% being female. Psychiatric disorders were identified in 16.5% of the study population. The prevalence of psychiatric disorders was significantly higher in DKA cases compared to controls (24.7% vs. 7.2%, p<0.001). Conditional logistic regression models revealed that the association between psychiatric disorders and DKA was not independent of HbA1c levels. Additionally, in HbA1c-stratified analyses, patients with psychiatric disorders developed DKA at lower HbA1c levels compared to controls. Conclusion Psychiatric disorders significantly increase the risk of DKA in adults with T1D, particularly among those with less elevated HbA1c levels. These findings highlight the critical importance of addresing psychiatric comorbidities in the management of T1D, given the severe implications and significant healthcare resource utilization associated with DKAThis work was funding by Proyectos de Investigación en Salud PI19/00584, PI22/01404 and PMP22/00021 (funded by Instituto de Salud Carlos III
Impact of the changes from ICD-10 to ICD-11 in the diagnosis of depressive disorder in the general population
Background: The World Health Organization recently revised the criteria for the diagnosis of depressive disorders in the International Classification of Diseases (ICD). This most recent version of the classification (ICD-11) presents some notable differences from the previous one that may impact the prevalence rate. Objective: This study aims to assess the impact of changes on the diagnosis of depressive episodes in the general population. Method: We used a general population sample (n = 2911; Age, M = 59; Gender, 56 % women) from the project ‘Edad con Salud’ using face-to-face interviews based on the Composite International Diagnostic Interview Instrument. To explore the impact of changes between ICD-10 and ICD-11, we compared participants with a diagnosis of a depressive disorder and those without, as well as participants who presented depression in only one of the two versions. Results: When using the ICD-10 criteria, we identified 189 cases of depressive episodes against 186 with ICD-11. Five and two participants were respectively diagnosed only with ICD-10 and ICD-11. The weighted lifetime prevalence is identical using both diagnostic criteria (6.3 %). Conclusion: Despite the changes introduced in the classification, the prevalence of depressive episodes identified by ICD-10 and ICD-11 in a general population sample is almost identicalThis study was supported by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III-FIS [grant numbers PI19/00088, PI19/00103, PI19/00150, PI19/00235].
