Výstupní testování v anglickém a německém jazyce na PrF MU v Brně

Obsahem článku je vývoj výstupních testů z cizího jazyka na Právnické fakultě Masarykovy Univerzity v Brně v rámci projektu IMPACT. Cílem této oblasti projektu je standardizace výstupních testů u všech cizích jazyků a na všech fakultních odděleních jazykového vzdělávání MU Brno. Článek se zabývá vývojem výstupních testů z anglického a německého jazyka na právnické fakultě, zejména rozdíly mezi současnými testy a testy nově vznikajícími, a důvody, které k těmto změnám vedly, a také dopadem a důsledky, které budou mít testy na další jazykové vzdělávání. Jelikož jsou v současné době testy zaměřeny převážně na testování odborné slovní zásoby a překlad, dovednosti čtení s porozuměním, poslech i psaní jsou opomíjeny. The main objective of the project is to standardize final language tests within all languages and at all faculty departments of the Language Centre. The paper deals with the development of final language tests in English and German at the Faculty of Law, especially with the differences between current tests and tests that are being designed. The authors will explain the reasons that have led to these changes and also the consequences and impact the tests will have on future language education. At present, the tests focus on testing legal terminology and translation, while the skills of writing and listening are neglected. Therefore, the aim of the project is to include all the skills into the tests. Thus, the tests would more correspond to the criteria of The Common European Framework of Reference and the real needs of prospective lawyers

We can see that reforms of Public Administration are stronger and stronger associated with egovernment. Egovernment means reformation in relation to application of ICT. Electronic services as a part of egovernement can facilitate the communication in the sphere of Public Administration. The towns in the Czech Republic compete for tourists both from Czech Republic and from abroad. ICT make it easy for them. Languages and Web Applications Encoding

Cílem této bakalářské práce je vytvoření webové aplikace, která demonstruje možné použití různých kódování znaků pro různé abecedy a jazyky. V návrhu popisuji asi nejsložitější část práce. S postupem v řešení jsem do značné míry musel i měnit samotný návrh. Dále se tu zabývám rozborem technologií, které jsem k realizaci využil. V části tohoto dokumentu nazvané Implementace se pokusím vysvětlit realizaci jednotlivých částí této práce, jakož i sloučení do celku. Aplikace umožňuje ovládání v 10 jazycích.The point of this bachelor´s thesis is creation of web application, which shows using different char sets for various alphabets and languages. In proposal I describe the hardest part of this work. During implementation I had to largely modify proposal. Next I am concerned with analyzing technologies, which I used for realization. I am trying to explain realization parts of the work in part of this document I called Implementation. Application offer controlling in 10 languages.

Phonetik in DaF-Lehrwerken

Sehr selten hat jemand die Möglichkeit, eine Fremdsprache auf natürliche Art und Weise wie seine Muttersprache zu erlernen. Die meisten sind auf verschiedene Lehrmaterialien angewiesen. Für die deutsche Sprache gibt es auf dem Büchermarkt sehr viele Titel, und jedes Jahr erscheinen neue, die das Angebot erweitern. Die Lehrenden sowie die Lernenden stehen dann vor dem großen Problem, welches Buch sie letzten Endes auswählen sollten. Die Kriterien für die Wahl sind unterschiedlich – es kommt darauf an, welche Prioritäten den Vorrang haben. Einige Interessenten sind von einer neuen methodischen Bearbeitung begeistert, für manche ist die graphische Darstellung wichtig, und wieder andere bevorzugen Qualität und Übersichtlichkeit der Grammatik u.ä. Für alle Benutzer ist jedoch ausschlaggebend, ob das ausgewählte Buch eine ausreichende Zahl an für sie unentbehrlichen Übungen enthält. Was dabei die Ausspracheschulung im Fremdsprachenunterricht betrifft, gibt es sowohl unter Lehrern als auch unter Lernern eine große Vielfalt von Ansichten. Einige stehen auf dem Standpunkt, dass die Aussprache wichtiger sei als die Grammatik. Andere lehnen ein gezieltes Aussprachetraining ab. Diese Meinungsverschiedenheiten spiegeln sich in der Realität der Lehrmaterialien wider. Es gibt einige, die das Thema Phonetik gründlich und methodisch vielfältig und ideenreich behandeln. Es gibt aber leider auch einige, in denen die Ausspracheschulung minimalisiert oder sogar verdrängt ist. Der Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit der Integration der Ausspracheschulung / Phonetik in verschiedene DaF-Lehrbücher. Competitive Abilities of an Organization on the Language Education Market

Bakalářská práce se zabývá konkurenčními schopnostmi vzdělávací organizace na poli jazykového vzdělávání konkrétně je zaměřena na Katedru germanisty Ostravské fakulty. V první části bakalářské práce jsou popsána teoretická východiska. Teorie je zaměřena na marketing školy a analýzy, které budou v práci použity. Součástí práce je i charakteristika zkoumané organizace. V praktické části je použit Porterův model pěti konkurenčních sil. Každý aspekt modelu je do detailu rozpracován. Následuje marketingový průzkum. Byly vytvořeny dva dotazníky zaměřené na spokojenost, jeden pro studenty a druhý pro absolventy katedry. Každá otázka je samostatně vyhodnocena. Na základě těchto analýz jsou v poslední části vypracována opatření pro zvýšené konkurenční schopnosti katedry. Navrženo bylo jedno opatření pro navýšení konkurenční výhody a čtyři opatření pro zvýšení spokojenosti zákazníků školy.The bachelor thesis is focused on competitive abilities of the educational organization in the field of language education market specifically on the Department of German Studies at the University of Ostrava. The first part of the thesis describes the theoretical basis. The theory is focused on school marketing and analysis that will be used in the practical part. Part of the thesis is also characteristic of the examined organization. In the practical part is used Porter's model of five competitive forces. Each aspect of the model is elaborated in detail. Then follows marketing research. Two satisfaction surveys were created, one for students and one for graduates. Each question is evaluated separately. On the basis of these analyzes, the last part of the thesis contains measures for increased competency of the department. One measure was proposed to increase the competitive advantage and four measures to increase school customer satisfaction.152 - Katedra podnikohospodářskávýborn

User Interface for Multimedia Dictionary

Tato bakalářská práce popisuje návrh a implementaci uživatelského rozhraní k multimediálnímu slovníku. Cílem této práce je vytvořit aplikaci s podporou hlasového vstupu a otestovat schopnost rozpoznání zadávaných slov. Výsledný slovník umožňuje zadávání slov hlasem, bez nutnosti psaní. Také je zde možnost použít vlastní textovy soubor se slovíčky a jejich překladem.This bachelor's thesis contains design and implementation of user interface for multimedia dictionary. The goal of this work is to create an application with support for voice input and to test the ability to recognize given words. The resulting dictionary allows to speak the desired word, without the need to type it. There is also a possibility to use your own text file with words and their translations.

Organizational forms of German language education at primary schools in Rokycany

Abstrackt This Diploma thesis deals with the organizational forms of German language education at the 2nd level of three primary schools in Rokycany. After studying the professional literature, the German education as a second foreign language and the organizational forms of teaching (individual, collective, individualized, differentiated, team teaching and group work together with work in pairs) are characterized. After that these primary schools are described along with their school educations programs, textbooks, workbooks. There are presented protocols of sitting in on classes from the 120 German language lessons, that have been visited. Then these data are evaluated. The sitting in on classes show that at these primary schools are most commonly used forms of working in the plenum and frontal instriction - interpretation. At two schools, there was no group work in any teaching classes. A total of 209 pupils and 11 German language teachers completed questionnaires on organisational forms of teaching. Models of questionnaires are available in the appendices. The inquiry reveals that the majority of pupils are most attracted to working in pairs. On the contrary, they are least approached by independent work.Diplomová práce se zabývá organizačními formami výuky německého jazyka na 2. stupni třech základních škol v Rokycanech. Nejprve je po prostudování odborné literatury popsána výuka německého jazyka jako druhého cizího jazyka a jednotlivé organizační formy výuky (individuální, hromadná, individualizovaná, diferencovaná, týmová výuka a skupinová práce společně s prací ve dvojicích). Dále jsou charakterizovány tyto jednotlivé základní školy, jejich školní vzdělávací programy, učebnice, pracovní sešity. K dispozici jsou protokoly náslechů ze 120 navštívených hodin německého jazyka, které jsou následně vyhodnoceny. Z náslechů je patrné, že se nejčastěji na těchto základních školách využívá práce v plénu a poté frontální výuka - výklad. Na dvou školách se na žádné vyučovací hodině nerealizovala práce ve skupinách. Celkem 209 žáků a 11 učitelů německého jazyk vyplnilo dotazníky týkající se organizačních forem výuky. Vzor je k dispozici v příloze. Z dotazníkového šetření vyplývá, že většinu žáků nejvíce oslovuje práce ve dvojicích. Czech-German interpreting in the Habsburg monarchy between 1740 and 1918

Předmětem této diplomové práce je tlumočení v habsburské monarchii mezi lety 1740 a 1918. Cílem je analyzovat komunikační situace, v nichž ve zkoumaném prostoru a období mohlo docházet k tlumočení. Zkoumaný jazykový pár je čeština-němčina, jehož prizmatem tak na celou problematiku pohlížíme. Práce se skládá ze tří částí. V první části představíme kontext habsburské monarchie, zaměříme se na definici tlumočení jako činnosti a profese a následně definujeme jednotlivé faktory, které ovlivňují přítomnost tlumočení. V druhé části tyto faktory aplikujeme na realitu habsburské monarchie a jednotlivé komunikační situace. Výstupem druhé části bude určení, v jakých oblastech docházelo k tlumočení mezi češtinou a němčinou a zda se jednalo o profesi, či nikoliv. V závěrečné části této práce se zaměříme na jednu oblast, v níž ve zkoumaném období nejčastěji docházelo k tlumočení mezi češtinou a němčinou, a představíme ji podrobněji.The subject of this thesis is interpreting in the Habsburg Monarchy between 1740 and 1918. The aim is to analyse the communicative situations in which interpreting may have taken place in the space and time being studied. The whole issue will be tackled from the perspective of the language pair in question, that is Czech and German. This thesis consists of three parts. In the first part, we will introduce the context of the Habsburg Monarchy, focus on the definition of interpreting as an activity and as a profession, and then define the various factors that affect the presence of interpreting in the given context. In the second part, we will apply these factors to the reality of the Habsburg Monarchy and to individual communicative situations. The output of the second part will determine in which areas interpreting between Czech and German occurred and whether we can consider it to be a profession or not.
